As Dallas real estate agent Ben Caballero works on collecting another Guinness World Record certificate, his thoughts are on new worlds to conquer.

“Florida is our first target,” Caballero told The Dallas Morning News. “As we complete our new platform, we’ll be making a more aggressive push to go to other states.”

Caballero, founder and CEO of HomesUSA.com, earned a world record in 2020 when he sold 6,438 homes, totaling more than $2.46 billion in value.

How does Caballero run up such a high score? He’s the listing agent for more than 60 home builders that want to market their homes to buyers’ agents. His 15-year-old proprietary listings-management and market platform churn data from builders and lists their properties for sale on the multiple listing service (MLS).

He gets data from builders such as Ashton Woods, Altura Homes, Coventry Homes, HistoryMaker Homes, Lennar, Toll Brothers, UnionMain Homes, and Windsor Homes.

He’ll reconfigure his firm’s cloud-based technology to allow builders to integrate the data into their systems.

Guinness requires MLS data to be verified by RealTRENDS, which provides an annual report of the top 1,000 real state agents. The report is promoted in The Wall Street Journal.

Caballero sold 5,801 homes in 2018 and 3,556 in 2016, according to Guinness. He’s a consistent high performer in RealTRENDS + Tom Ferry, a residential brokerage industry publication. The Business Insider also took a look at a day in the life of Ben Caballero in 2019.

CandysDirt.com spotlighted Caballero last year when the third world record was submitted.

“Looking at the market today, this record is going to stand for some time,” Caballero said. “What’s most incredible is I get to do something I love every day and get paid for it. I built homes for 18 years and truly enjoy working with builders.”
