Is There Life in the House? You Betcha: Dallas High Rise Real Estate News

So today Bobby Dhillon of dblifestyles was our “Hot Property”, showcasing Dallas’ newest condo, The House. So new is The House, and so bad the timing with the economy, we wonder just who’s living there. Bobby says almost 25% occupied, but I unearthed a story about an original buyer — buyers — who have been living at The House since 2009. Practically grandfathered in!

Meet Glen and Kay Sanders. They were one of the very first couples to buy a 1750 square foot pied a terre and ditch driving 50 plus miles to and from work. Story in Modern Luxury Dallas .

Does anyone else think it is strange that not a single sale at The House has ever been disclosed on MLS? Doesn't give me much faith in a building that is 25% occupied, going on 3 years old. I have 2 friends who live there and bought as new construction. It is a really amazing building with great units, terraces, and views. But, they got burned by buying in 2008.

I've heard they are selling now $200K below what they were in 2008 and anyone who bought then might be underwater. But they are cutting some great deals. I like the House better than W.
