Briggs Freeman/Sothebys is sponsoring an amazing home tour next weekend, a first-ever modern home extravaganza whamo that will feature 12 contemporary homes which exemplify modern living in Dallas. Having chaired a home house tour a few years back for the Medical Alliance, I am happy this is a self-guided driving tour. (But 12 homes! We went crazy with four!) Drive you will, but still get inside to see everything from floating staircases and glass entryways to gourmet kitchens, and veritable spa baths, frosted off with amazing finish outs.
Many designers have incorporated eco-friendly elements such as recycled materials, rainwater collection systems, and natural ventilation as well. Tour tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event, can be purchased on line here. If you can make the tour, fabulous. If not, I will be posting each and every home here on CD AND both Karen Eubank and I plan to attend and bring you all the dirt! Even better: pre-dirt: I’m going to a Briggs event tonight at the Wyly, Potter Rose Performance Hall, a special pre-Broadway production of GIANT. We are also planning a ticket give-away if we can think of some very crafty Dallas real estate questions… hmmm… stay very tuned.
