We don’t get to talk about Sunnyvale as often as we’d like, but this week’s Saturday Seven Hundred in the highly sought after neighborhood of The Falls is an expansive home just perfect for a family and for entertaining.

How great is The Falls? It’s rural enough to promise spacious lots and homes, but close enough to major thoroughfares to get you to shopping in Mesquite and Garland, plus all the fun that East Dallas has to offer. It’s also about 15 minutes from downtown Dallas.

The entire enclave of The Falls is bordered by Lake Ray Hubbard on one side and is near several walking trails and a beautiful park complete with tennis courts. Several of the home sites are also tucked among trees and a creek. (more…)

Embattled school transportation provider Dallas County Schools may have been able to continue its relationship with Dallas Independent School District, but as early as this morning it seemed its superintendent could be the most recent casualty of a recent spate of very bad news.

DCS, which provides busing for Dallas, Carrollton/Farmers Branch, Highland Park, Irving, Aledo, Cedar Hill, Coppell, DeSoto, Lancaster, Richardson, Weatherford and White Settlement school districts, called a special meeting today.

The agenda included two ominous items –  “Consider Appointing an Interim Superintendent” and “Consider Defining Requirements and Authorizing Search for a Permanent Superintendent.”
