Ebby Halliday Realtors to Open Prosper-Celina Office This July | CandysDirt.com

Big news for the DFW real estate community: Ebby Halliday Realtors has announced plans to open a new Prosper/Celina office this July.

Scheduled to open in July 2017, the roughly 5,000-square-foot office is located at the northeast corner of Highway 289 (Preston Road) and Prosper Trail in Prosper. It will be home to about 50 residential real estate agents serving the greater Prosper/Celina area. A fast-growing suburb in Collin and Denton counties with almost 18,000 residents, Prosper is 32 miles from DFW International Airport and 35 miles from downtown Dallas.

“This state-of-the-art office will greatly enhance our ability to serve the needs of the area’s growing number of home buyers and sellers for many years to come,” says Mary Frances Burleson, president and CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies, which includes Dallas-based Ebby Halliday Realtors and Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Fort Worth-based Williams Trew Real Estate, as well as affiliated companies Texas Premier TitleHome Team Insurance, and Home Team Mortgage Company.

The location of the new office is phenomenal, says Ebby Halliday Companies Chief Financial Officer Ron Burgert, who was instrumental in selecting the new site and building out the new office.

“Strategically situated along State Highway 289 (Preston Road), it offers easy access to the 289 and U.S. 380 corridors, as well as the Dallas North Tollway,” he said.

Congratulations are in order for Windsong Ranch in Prosper, which snagged “People’s Choice Community of the Year” at the 37th annual McSAM Awards from the Dallas Builders Association. The event, which recognizes “maximum creativity in sales and marketing,” drew more than 300 entries this year with winners named in 58 categories and jurists from all over the nation.

“The People’s Choice Award is THE coveted award of the night because it is a customer satisfaction award that shows our success in creating the best community for our homeowners,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch. “Our residents ranked Windsong highest in overall lifestyle, amenities and customer service compared to all the other communities in DFW.”

We’re thrilled at the news, as it’s another trophy in Windsong Ranch’s growing awards case.

I was up in Prosper yesterday and all I can say is, WOW! I remember when Prosper was nothing more than ranches and country. There was this big spread up there on Preston Road (289) and East Prosper Trail that belonged to Deion Sanders, and it stuck out on the prairie like a Mediterranean sore thumb. It was a 29,000-square-foot mansion of mansions built in 1999 with turrets and columns and Taj Mahal architectural features on 109 acres. The home and all the property had been marketed for $21 million.

The estate also has a new name: Chateau Montclair.

Then, in 2014, most of the property was scooped up in a deal arranged by Dallas developer Don Silverman. The plan was to develop most of the Sanders property with upscale Prosper homes. And that is exactly what is happening around the once blue, now sand-pink mansion.

This week, the house alone (on 5.96 acres) goes into the MLS with Ebby Halliday ace agent David Gloria. I’ll be posting the new photos later in the week. It will be marketed at $12.75 million. It has been updated, remodelled, staged, painted, carpeted, freshened — you name it. It will even feature a vintage chandelier in the front foyer coming from the Statler Hilton in downtown Dallas, courtesy of Mehrdad Moayedi. (more…)

We knew it the first time we saw it: there was just something very special, warm and inviting about the Welcome Center at Windsong Ranch. We didn’t feel as if we were looking at a sales office, or event a home development marketing center.

We felt like we were arriving at a Kimpton Hotel and the refreshments were just around the corner! Come on in, put your feet up.

So it comes as no surprise that the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) recently named Windsong Ranch’s Welcome Center the best in the country. That’s right, BEST IN THE COUNTRY! The National Sales and Marketing Council’s new home sales and marketing awards salute and honor the best in the building industry for their determination, integrity, creativity and endurance.

More than 1,300 entries were received for this year’s awards.

“We knew our Welcome Center had to stand out,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch.  “Along with all of the great amenities, what really gives us an edge is the Windsong Café where residents can get a cup of coffee or fresh food cooked with locally sourced ingredients.”

Like we said, refreshments just around the corner, locally sourced be they vegetables from a Windsong Ranch garden, or fresh honey from a ranch hive.

Larry Corson is a key player in real estate investment and development in North Texas. Throughout his 30-year career, he has focused largely on residential developments and was recently named co-president of Wilbow Corporation, a privately held Dallas-based residential property developer.

Corson has guided the strategic acquisition of new properties throughout DFW, particularly in suburbs like Southlake, Colleyville, Flower Mound, Roanoke, Keller, McKinney, and Prosper. For example, as a director at Cooper & Stebbins, Corson led the development of the Garden District, a successful luxury enclave located in the Southlake Town Square area.

We sat down with Corson to get his insights on development in North Texas, the housing market, and his big projects for 2015.
