If you’re like me, you’ve probably wondered, “Prosper? What’s that all about? It’s way, way, way up there, a great place to throw a field party and … shoulder shrug … that’s about it.”

Yet, people are moving there like crazy. Prosper has been called, “The next Highland Park,” and it has a TikTok famous high school. What’s that now? YES. A TIKTOK FAMOUS HIGH SCHOOL.

The Prosper Population Is Poppin’

Turns out the schools are driving it all. Especially the high school.

Keller Williams’ Dawn Ledesma said the latest high school, that is currently being built, will bring the total to four. (Five years ago there was only one high school. That’s a lot of growth and a lot of circle drives for drop-off.)

The schools themselves are bananas. This one will have a full-on food court, specialty educational tracks, and it’s in the 6A State Division.

The specialty tracks are hyper-focused and give students a chance to test run a potential career such as in broadcast or the culinary arts. Each of those tracks gets hands-on experience running a radio station or a restaurant. And the students do it all from creating content to running the business to announcing Friday night football games and opening the restaurant to the city every day for lunch.

Athletes are all in on Prosper, too — both famous and soon-to-be-famous. The famous ones like the small town feel where they can blend in. The soon-to-be-famous ones like the fact that there are four high schools, which means increased playing time and a better shot at a scholarship.

One final reason to head to Prosper? This house.

Ledesma said it’s set on one acre so you have neighbors near you but not like near near you. According to the universal law I’m making up right now, space = happiness. Especially if that space has it’s very own vineyard like this property does.

Again, for real, y’all, can you even believe that? [That’s the most small-town Southern thing I’m going to say today.] That’s one whole vineyard, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 4,516 square feet, and a pool for less than $2 million. Clutch the dang pearls.

Ledesma has 2721 Vista View Lane listed for $1.69 million.
