FIFA World Cup 2026, one of the world’s biggest events, is almost here, and the D-FW is gearing up to play host to nine matches. Whether you plan on making it to a game or not, there are plenty of ways to get in on the excitement without shelling out a lot of money. Here are a few upcoming events and ways to enjoy the tournament:
Countdown to the Cup

What: Celebrate the countdown to the world’s biggest sporting event with the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee at a high-energy, family-friendly 5K! All participants will receive a race t-shirt and a finisher’s medal.
When: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Where: The Sound at Cypress Waters, 3111 Olympus Blvd. in Coppell
Dallas Soccer Kick-Off Fest

What: The nine World Cup matches scheduled in D-FW run from mid-June to mid-July, but the festivities are kicking off next weekend. Dallas Soccer Kick-Off Fest is bringing two full days of soccer, culture, music, and family fun at the iconic Ron Kirk Bridge and Felix Lozada Gateway. Fans can enjoy soccer clinics and exhibitions, local food and drink, live music, dance performances, and much more.
When: Saturday & Sunday, May 30-31, 2026
Where: Ron Kirk Bridge at 109 Continental Ave. in Dallas
FIFA Main Street Bazaar

What: The Main Street Bazaar is putting on a soccer-themed night market at Main Street Garden Park in downtown Dallas. It will feature local vendors, artisan crafts, food, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026

FIFA Fan Festival Dallas

What: Can’t get tickets to the game but still want a live World Cup experience? The FIFA Fan Festival at Fair Park will operate daily from June 11 through the end of the tournament. Watch the matches and live commentary on massive screens throughout the park while you enjoy food and drink, a live show on the main stage, and soccer-related activities. Admission is free, but you need to get a pass online for entry. You can also purchase enhanced experiences that include things like food, beverage, and merchandise packages.

World Cup Watch Parties

What: Apart from the official watch parties and festivals, lots of local venues are hosting their own events where fans can take in all the World Cup action. Downtown Dallas has put together a great list of venues and happenings, but we have a few suggestions as well.
Frankie’s Downtown is a tried and true Sports Bar that has long graced Main Street with great drinks and yummy “from scratch” eats. They’re known for hosting all things MLS and FIFA. Not every sports bar is a go-to for soccer.

Backyard Dallas is a dog-friendly open-air venue that has been voted one of Dallas’ Best Soccer Bars. With more than 30 screens, great food and drinks, and perhaps a match or two springing up, this is a great place to watch. They’ll have special World Cup hours from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

The Londoner is a great brand for all things World Cup, especially if you’re rooting for England on June 17! They have three locations in Dallas, Addison, and Colleyville with comfy pub rooms and plenty of big screens. Grab a pint and some fish n’ chips and enjoy! Private rooms are available if you want to host your own event.
