Yesterday’s bombshell news that Dallas defensive end Micah Parsons is headed for greener pastures has us sensing a pattern here. The Dallas Cowboys have traded their star defensive edge rusher to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round picks (2026 and 2027) and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark. In exchange, Parsons inked a four-year, $188 million contract — with $136 million fully guaranteed — making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history.
Despite the drama of a season-long contract stalemate, Parsons struck a tone of respect and humility in his post-trade statement:
“I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything was in my control… I never asked for anything more than fairness. I only asked that the person I trust to negotiate my contract be part of the process.”

Parsons came to Dallas as the Cowboys’ 2021 first-round pick out of Penn State.

According to Collin County Appraisal District records, the 5,454-square-foot French Provincial home on Whitestone Drive just recently sold on July 30. The property was first listed for sale on April 11 for $1.9 million and spent 63 days on the market before selling for an estimated $1.67 million.
