Next week, Thrift Studio will open its doors for a much-anticipated designer-curated sale featuring an exclusive assortment of merchandise, all priced to sell. Open to the public from April 4 to May 3, proceeds from the month-long pop-up will support the design industry’s go-to nonprofit, Dwell with Dignity.
“Thrift Studio isn’t just about shopping — it’s about design as a catalyst for stability and opportunity,” said Teresa Charnock, Dwell with Dignity Executive Director.
“Every piece sold helps fuel our work to transform houses into homes where families can thrive.”
Candys Dirt got a sneak peek at this year’s featured vignettes, the handiwork of six mega-talented local designer groups. Trust us when we say it’s a wow — think stylish furniture, must-have accessories, standout art, fabulous florals, and so much more.

“We’re really excited about the range of designers this year,” said 2025 Chair Samantha Reitmayer Sander, one-half of Dallas design darling Swoon, the studio. “As a longtime supporter of Thrift Studio, I was one of its first ever designers. It’s an honor to chair this event with Joslyn.”
That’s partner Joslyn Taylor, who is equally passionate about Dwell’s mission to support those transitioning out of homelessness. “As a studio, we talk all the time about how much your surroundings impact everything from your daily mood to your goals, ambition, and self-worth,” shared Samantha. “Anything we can do to continue to make people’s lives better, we are here for it.”

“Thrift Studio is so special because the instant joy that you see on the resident’s face is just remarkable. Then, getting to watch people flourish and thrive over the years is incredible. There’s a sense of pride and stability that feels grounding.”
We asked. Samantha answered.
What can you tell me about the merchandise that will be featured?
Everything is generously donated, often by designers — meaning really great pieces. I also know a few designers have called in some favors with their favorite brands like Entler Made (known for its unique ceramic lighting) and Pieces (artisan home décor).
Any standout pieces or items?
Personally, I have my eye on several things, so the list is pretty long. But I love the red marble side tables in Turner Hall’s vignette and there’s some pretty art throughout. Also, admittedly, I’m a chair-a-holic and there are good ones in every vignette.

How do you approach designing spaces that are not only practical but emotionally uplifting?
Making sure that lighting, which can fundamentally change your experience in a space, is right on. Also, pulling things from the client that are their own pieces and making them think about them differently. It’s a refreshing familiarity that we often find people really appreciate. It doesn’t just feel like a “decorator” came in.
Thrift Studio, presented by Amazon, kicks off with a ticketed Premiere Party Thursday, April 3. The pop-up – located at 1833 E. Levee St., Dallas, 75207 – is open to the public April 4 to May 3, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
