Leadership Changes at Ebby Halliday Companies: Cameron Promoted, Rosson Retires

Betsy Cameron has been named President of the Ebby Halliday Companies, marking a significant leadership transition for the renowned real estate firm. Carolyn Rosson, who has served as President and CEO, will take on the role of Chairman to assist with the leadership change.

A fourth-generation Dallasite with two decades of real estate experience, Cameron joined the Ebby Halliday Companies in 2019 as Sales Leader of the iconic Little White House office. She went on to lead two additional offices of the company’s Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate brand and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations. Her distinguished career has included roles as a salesperson, sales leader, manager, and executive.

Cameron’s introduction to real estate came early, inspired by her mother, Janis Wells, a successful real estate agent. Before obtaining her license in 2005, Cameron assisted her mother with open houses and office work. After graduating from the University of Mississippi, she began a career in public education specializing in Special Education, but her passion for real estate ultimately drew her back to the industry.

As President, Cameron will work with the leadership team to develop strategy, oversee operations, and drive future growth while honoring the company’s legacy.

Rosson, whose tenure with the company spans 45 years, announced her decision to retire, concluding a career that began when she was 21 years old.

“This company has been more than a career; it has been my home, my family, and my passion for nearly five decades,” Rosson said. “While this decision comes with mixed emotions, I feel it is the right time to step back and enjoy the fruits of a life dedicated to a company and industry I love so dearly. I am looking forward to spending more time with my amazing husband, Barney, my incredible daughter and son-in-law, and my two beautiful grandchildren.”

Reflecting on her time with the company, Rosson added, “I leave with a full heart and immense pride in what we’ve accomplished together.
