It’s Patio Season, And These Tarrant County Properties Have The Best Places For Life Al Fresco

Finally, it feels like the temperatures are turning from the miserable 100-plus-degree weather we suffered through day after day this summer to the cooler temps of fall.

Yes, it’s supposed to be back in the upper 80s and maybe even low 90s again in October, but let’s pretend that’s not going to happen and that it’s okay to start pulling out blankets and sweaters and fleece jackets.

In honor of this wonderful season, Tarrant County Tuesday has decided to look back on 2023 featured homes for Patio Season 2023 and highlight the wonderful outdoor spaces of homes that would be perfect for this weather.

The interior patio of 4736 Dexter (featured in March) is ideal for this time of year.

Fireplace or no fireplace — that is the question.

For home buyers and owners, I’m sure they’re scratching their heads when looking at homes that have outdoor fireplaces. Especially if they’re looking to buy in the warmer months (basically March through September) the thought of ever needing or using a fireplace outside on the patio in Texas is silly.

But then comes fall and patio season and those homeowners are now licking their chops for a reason to put on their fuzzy slippers and dust off the fake logs — or even better, put real wood in the fireplace — and strike a match.

You better believe the owners of 115 St. Andrews were scratching their heads this summer about the fireplace, but are enjoying it now. (Featured in June)

Patios With Views

Yes, there’s more to a patio than a fireplace … what about a view? While technically they should be called balconies on most dwellings, remember this is Tarrant County Tuesday and we get to make the rules. We will allow any outdoor feature to be considered for this article.

Are you ready for patio season?

Hopefully, you’re enjoying a cup of hot tea or cider or whatever as you read Tarrant County Tuesday. Enjoy it while you can because this is Texas and you know it will be shorts and T-shirt weather in a matter of days again.

But don’t lose hope. Whatever the season, remember that there will definitely be times throughout the year to fling wide the doors and windows and strike a match to light the fireplace and enjoy your porch, patio, or balcony of your home. Hurry, though, before it’s bug season again.
