This Argyle luxury retreat offers the perfect example of a home that serves every family member so well that they won’t ever want to leave. It has everything you can imagine and some things you cannot imagine, like a hot tub in the middle of the game room.

Remember what we always say. If you can buy a builder’s own home, don’t hesitate for a moment because they always pull out all the stops.

Owner John Michaels founded Noble Classic Homes. He is one of the largest builders in the Argyle area, averaging 15 to 25 custom homes annually. His company has won numerous Dallas Builders Association awards.

When he first purchased this home years ago, it was far from the luxury retreat you see today.

“The house used to look like an ugly California office building when I first bought it,” Michaels said. “We stripped it down and added on. A customer of ours saw it as we were renovating and wanted it, so we designed it to their needs. They bought it and lived here for eight years.”

When that client saw another build of Michaels’, they decided they were ready for a change. Michaels ended up with this house again and started a new renovation as trends had, of course, changed.

“In the main house, we gutted all the bathrooms and remodeled them,” Michaels said. The cabinets were repainted, and we added new hardware. All the white oak floors were stripped, and we took them to a lighter color.”

The Ultimate Argyle Luxury Retreat

Today, this is the ultimate private Argyle luxury retreat. Set on more than 6 acres with a pond, stables, a sand volleyball court, and a sports court, Michaels indeed pulled out all the stops in the 7,474-square-foot home. There’s a whiskey room, a hearth room, a home office, and that fantastic one-of-a-kind game room with a fireplace, a piano, and a hot tub!

“The room originally had an indoor pool,” Michaels said. “When I renovated that part of the house, I was going to fill it in. My mom suggested simply decking over it and using it for storage. I thought it would be fun to keep the hot tub. It’s such a big room, and when the kids are home, they use it all the time.”

It’s easy to keep an eye on the shenanigans either from the command center desk or the second floor because the sitting area of the principal suite overlooks this room.

When the company outgrew its office space, Michaels moved everyone to the house.

“They love coming here,” Michaels said. “It’s like being at home.”

Michaels’ wife, Mandy Miller, is the Director of Sales and Marketing for their company. While she and Michaels had a hand in the home’s design, she said the credit really belongs to their design team, Carlene Gallagher and Latresa Elliot.

“There are so many unique things about this property,” she said. “It’s beautiful, and there is so much room. We have a two-bedroom guest apartment above the stables and an efficiency apartment above the garage. All of the kids love it, but they are grown, and we just don’t need this much room anymore.”

There is no doubt they will miss this incredible property, but we can’t wait to see what Michaels builds the family next!
