This East Kessler Cottage Is Even Better Than You’re Imagining

The absolute best is when a Realtor pal calls you to gush about a great home because they’ve seen some stuff, you know? And if they’re excited, you pretty much know you’re in for a treat. But take what kind of home you’re picturing in your head right now… and multiply because that’s not even the half of it.

This is an Oak Cliff home. Set on a spectacular lot. Dave Perry-Miller’s Melissa O’Brien said the entryway is gorgeous. It’s lined with the most modern wood paneling.

The home itself is exquisite as well, but when every single agent stepped into the living area and faced the wall of windows that looked out into the backyard, they lost their freaking minds. Or as O’Brien more eloquently put it, their jaws DROPPED.

It’s a scenic view. And it’s in your backyard. The first tier is a step-outside-and-take-it-in deck, carved out just for the views. Then a few steps up, a waterfall, sparkling pool, and lounging deck.

Just beyond that is an incredible pergola with a fireplace and plenty of room to gather and entertain. After that, the hill takes off to create a completely private, genuine oasis in the city. O’Brien said an oasis like this makes it one of the best streets in the neighborhood. Maybe it’s even THE best if this home is any indication.

Back inside the house, there’s so much to love. The tiled chimney is so perfect it’s a work of art in itself. All the warm colors and wood accents in the interior create the coziest space and we’re all ready to usher in the new era of not gray.

The kitchen is tastefully and timelessly updated, the primary bedroom is wonderful as well, and that ensuite primary bathroom? Well, it’s about as good as it gets.

Filtered sunlight comes in from the skylight above and envelopes the freestanding bathtub. With all the wood tones and greenery in the bathroom + the natural sunlight? It’s like you’re living back outside in that amazing backyard. Nature is what I’m saying. It’s really nature-y. It’s almost as if this home has a theme. Hmmm. Inspired by the outdoors.

There is also a garage with a Tesla charging station and also an additional 200 square feet of bonus room. It’s currently being used as a home gym and wine room – the perfect combination I must say. There’s a Miele wine fridge that HAS to be stocked because you know with a backyard like this people are popping over all the time. Of course, you could transform it into the most tranquil yoga studio or home office. It’s one of those spaces that can be whatever you need it to be.

Again, whatever the theme of this home is, I want it and I’m sure lots of people will want it, too. O’Brien has 446 W. Greenbriar Lane listed for $1.25 million.
