I find it sort of ironic, given how hot and dry it has been recently, that in the past few editions of Tarrant County Tuesday we have highlighted luxurious homes surrounded by lush and mature trees with spectacular views of the Tarrant County landscape.

This week we find a truly unique home nestled among holes 4 and 5 of the world-famous Shady Oaks Country Club golf course. Designed by architect Frank Talley and built in 1986, this home of 5,090 square feet is the epitome of one-of-a-kind luxurious living.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all of Texas were this lush and green?

Fair warning — do NOT buy this home if you don’t like windows, amazing views, and natural light pouring into your home. This home has enormous windows throughout the home that allow for spectacular scenery from just about every room.

You’re going to need a lot of Windex if you purchase this home.

Clean Lines, Great Views

The style is modern but the home at 1233 Shady Oaks Lane has a comfortable and warm look and feel. The lines are crisp and every inch of the home seems to be used, whether it’s a triangular-shaped room for an office or a private balcony.

Even with the massive amount of windows throughout the home, it is still very private and secluded. Because the home is built on a sloping hill, the balcony off the main floor overlooks tree tops.

Talk about great – yet private – views of Shady Oaks GC and much more

The home at 1233 Shady Oaks Lane is a three-bedroom, four-and-one-half-bathroom home with multiple living areas and gathering places. Of course, there are multiple balconies and areas to access the shade outside throughout the house as well.

The signature feature is the three-level modern staircase that is found in the middle of the home. The stairwell is the perfect spot for your Instagram photos and works of art.

Even in the kitchen, there are floor-to-ceiling windows and views.

The primary suite is extra large with a sitting area and fireplace — and of course stellar views.

Ben Frederick of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Real Estate has listed 1233 Shady Oaks Lane for $3.9 million. The home can be shown by appointment only.
