This Adorable Wynnewood Home Just Hit The Market For The First Time Ever

It’s not often you get to list a house that’s never sold publicly. Especially when it is so freaking cute. That’s the sitch Dave Perry-Miller’s Emily Ruth Cannon found herself in on this listing.

And yes, that is Cannon helping to stage the bathroom and getting everything just right. And that’s her son working on the windows in the other picture. Cannon jokingly said he’s in Realtor Camp this summer and will be at the Open House this Sunday, too. It’s full service over there.

Now is also a great time to mention the big-time staging came from East Dallas Modern, a husband-and-wife team that has exceptional taste and is just truly incredible.

OK, back to the house.

It’s a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home with the most gorgeous sunroom that features floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls. The sunroom does have heat and air conditioning, too, so you bet your sweet little butt it’s included in the square footage.

The floor of the sunroom is a super cool stone that had us all stumped on what to call it. Cannon’s favorite interior designer, Kate Thacker, came to the rescue and said it’s actually a “large-format mosaic stone.” Thacker said the up top is an “exposed decorative framework with paneled ceiling.”

Cannon said throughout the house the color scheme is “Spanish influence,” with lots of terracotta and the prettiest sherbet color on the trim paired with a light green bookcase contrasting with cream walls. It’s a soother for sure.

Now get this, because the seller gets it.

When she moved in, she had teenage boys, so she had the wherewithal to cover those stunning hardwoods with carpet to protect the floors. How much do you love this lady? She’s since removed the carpet in all but one room so there’s still something the new owner can do and feel accomplished.

Two of the three bathrooms are original, too, but so cute it’ll be really hard to touch those vintage Dal-Tile installs with adorable color schemes. The kitchen is ready for your finishing touches, too, and don’t we all love a house with a chance to put our stamp on it? Show of hands? (My hand is raised.)

This house is in Wynnewood in Oak Cliff and because of that, the backyard is huge. It’s set on a standard (for over there) one-third acre lot.

Now that all the praises have been sung, it’s your turn to check it out.

Head to 526 Woolsey now or patiently wait for the Open House on Sunday, July 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. Cannon and her son will be there, but she assured me he will NOT be in a suit because “he’d KILL me.” It’s listed for $460,000.
