This Mid-Century Inspired Single Story Is Super Spacious And Filled With Delightful Details

This is a house that makes you say “What the heck. It’s gorgeous.” It’s owned by a geologist and an artist, and you can totally tell. Like the plant hanging from the skylight in the kitchen. What a total stroke of genius. Ebby Halliday’s Mitra Shamsa has the listing and her daughter, Mina Shamsa, is the co-listing agent. Mina said that’s one of over a dozen skylights in the house and her number one reason to love this house? The vibes.

Mina said even though all our schedules are hectic it’s hard to NOT feel at peace in this home that feels so close to nature. She said if she lived there, she’d post up in that reading nook in the living room and likely never leave. It’s fabulous. There’s Austin Stone everywhere and low slung brick wall that runs along a wall of windows and it’s topped with several seating pillows.

All the bedrooms in this house are huge and Mina said it truly was the perfect COVID home. All the bedrooms are set off to the side for privacy so you could head back and scream in a pillow if needed during quarantine. But seriously, it’s a killer layout that anyone would love and it’s perfect for a work-from-home situation. But wait there’s more!! We’ll get to it, but first, let’s talk about how every room has an ensuite bathroom AND one secondary bedroom is SO big it could be a second Primary bedroom.

I believe there was a brief mention of “but wait, there’s more?” Oh yes. Out back there’s a 450+ square foot cabana with its own water heater, A/C, and heater. The owner uses it as a studio, but it could easily be a mother-in-law suite or a place for sullen teenagers to take out their angst.

In the secondary living area, there’s a hanging fireplace that looks to be a Scandinavian design. The current owners said it was there when they moved in and they love it. It’s like a piece of hanging art.

Mina said this is a home that’s beautiful in the pictures, but you truly have to step inside to fully appreciate it. The views, the natural light, the complete and total calming vibes… She grew up in Northwood Hills and loves it over there. It’s hilly and treed, the neighbors are welcoming and the lots are typically half an acre. This one is just under half, but Mina said the way this home is laid out on the lot is so a really fantastic use of the space. AND IT’S A SINGLE STORY AND IT’S HUGE. Over 4,000 square feet. Four bedrooms plus the Cabana.

Mitra and Mina have 7029 Meadowcreek Drive listed for $1.35 million.
