3724 Northview Lane, In all its current glory.

Today’s feature is for all the would-be remodelers out there. The ones who see potential where others see wood paneling and cultured marble countertops. The ones with a vision. If you’ve ever had the idea of turning a nice, as in “yeah-it’s-nice” house into an extraordinary one, here’s your Master Class.

3724 Northview Lane, The way it was. Circa 2018.

Keep in mind, this isn’t the first time these two homeowners have completely reimagined an interior, but it might be their best one yet.

Formal living room for fancy and all her friends.
Oh hello, chandelier of the year.

Armed with carpet imported from Scotland and enough designer wallpaper to start a showroom, these two got to work.

As Dave Perry-Miller’s Susan Melnick said, it’s almost cliched to say, “well appointed.” But this gorgeous home very much is. She also said it’s updated within an inch of its life and truer words, my friends. Truer word …

Freshly updated kitchen.
Former kitchen.

The inside is, in fact, to die for and it lives like a catalog. I mean, hello, we already called out all the impeccable wallpaper, and then there’s the remodeled kitchen that’s crisp and clean and, most importantly, timeless. And while the countertops and backsplash are understated, that Thor six-burner gas range is anything but.

“Moody” downstairs primary.
Grand ensuite bathroom.
Mirror much?
Former config.
Tub by the window, too good NOT to stay.
The golden gooseneck.

The downstairs primary suite is dark and dramatic … a contrast to the light neutrals found throughout the rest of the house. The bathroom in the first primary or primary primary is like something out of a palace – ceramic tile with a marble look. It’s really something. Every mirror in this home is a statement, too. Well, every everything in this home is a statement, but you can tell a lot of care and attention went into selecting the perfect mirror for every bathroom. AND THAT GOLD FAUCET.

Upstairs primary.

Oh yes, I did mention a primary primary which means there’s a second could-be primary bedroom upstairs. It even has its own seating area. The only drawback? If you have guests, it’s almost too good and they might never actually leave.

We’ve come so far. Former backyard.

Back downstairs there’s a full bathroom off the kitchen which is perfect for the recently added pool (with full warranty, WINTER). It’s set in the middle of the massive backyard that also features incredible landscaping, planting beds, a covered pergola, bricked cooking station with a gas grill, and an air-conditioned storage building/workshop. (A space one of the owners put to very good use. He’s a candlemaker among other things.)

If you’re looking for a grand home that’s centrally located in Dallas, this just might be your new forwarding address.

Melnick has the 3,675-square foot stunner at 3724 Northview Lane listed for $1,075,000.
