This Budget-Friendly Home Over in East Dallas Will Have You Feeling Your Oates

UM HELLO, this house is so cute. It’s in East Dallas on Oates and it’s under $300,000. Like, well under. It’s listed at $239,900!!

“Hit me with the cons, right out of the gate.”

Okay, TRUE, Oates is kind of a busy street, and TRUE, this house only has one bathroom, but it is so freaking cute.

Plus, back when it was built in 1956, whole families shared one single solitary bathroom. Can you imagine? Well, yes, yes we can. Some people reading this lived it, too. It’s totally doable and again, CUTE.

Here’s the first thing I absolutely love about this house. I’m 99.999 percent sure that’s a garage conversion in the front, but they did a great job. It blends in and adds interest. They made the house better with a conversion. Such a feat.

I do love the simplicity of that exterior. Classic midcentury, low-slope roofline. Wooden posts extending from the fascia to the brick legit supporting nothing, but just looking sweet as heck.

Inside the kitchen has been fully remodeled and Keller Williams’ Ginger Lesher shouted it out. There’s a separate utility off the kitchen and a big walk-in pantry, too. Your canned goods are gonna lose their minds.

This house isn’t massive, but it has it all. Two living areas, three bedrooms, and a bonus out back. Not only is there a detached two-car garage out there. There’s also a GUEST SUITE. With … ANOTHER BATHROOM.

What?? That’s two bathrooms, fools. One is just a bit of an outhouse (indoors) sitch.

Lesher pointed out that if you add a kitchenette to the guest suite, you’d immediately have a little passive income in the way of a rental. And if supplementing your income doesn’t sound good to you, call me … if you can even find your phone buried in all the diamonds and gold bars you presumably have lying around.
