This Lake Highlands Home Has Something For Everyone

Over in Lake Highlands there’s a house that has something for everyone. Let’s start with the fact that it’s in Lake Highlands. It’s huggable and lovable and near White Rock Lake.

This house is located in Forest Meadow, a neighborhood with a paved walking trail that runs along the creek. It’s fun for kids. And adults. And everyone in between.

When you walk into 9312 Coral Cove with the pop of blue on the front door, there’s a little patch of Saltillo tile. Let’s call that something for the purist. Then there are gorgeous hardwoods throughout most of the living areas. And that’s just the beginning of the very long list of updates this home has seen.

What’s interesting is the styles vary, but in a good way. Over the years, each owner has added their own touches, but they all had one thing in common, a love of this house, so they all work together to create something special.

In the massive bonus room upstairs, there’s a wall lined with cedar planks. It’s a popular roughhewn look. We’ve all seen it. Well, the Sellers skew a little more modern so they painted the planks (and the entire room) a vibrant shade of green. It’s a cool look that we HAVEN’T seen a ton of.

In the main living, attached to the soaring ceilings there are two fans which skew traditional, but in the kitchen? Angular, modern fixtures. And again, it works. One thing we can all love? The cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling in the kitchen and bathrooms. Hallelujah more storage.

You know how some houses feel like the designers walked into Home Depot, saw a room and said, I’ll take it? This is the opposite of that. Everything feels intentional, handpicked and personal.

Out back, there’s a gorgeous backyard with an incredible covered deck with an impressive built-in grill. The travertine around the pool was recently replaced and so was the fence. If that’s not enough, there’s a small yard, a Japanese maple and a built-in firepit.

This very special four-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 9312 Coral Cove is listed for $699,500 by Clay Stapp + Co.’s Kelly Gurnee. If you’d like to take a look, there’s an Open House today from 1 to 3 p.m.
