Well-Appointed Lake Highlands Creek Lot Inspires Beauty

Lake Highlands creek lot

We chose this midcentury styled home in Lake Highlands if for no other selfish reason than to admire and study the sellers’ keen eye for layering decor. Good for you, the house is pretty fantastic too as this weekend’s Saturday $800k.

Located in Lake Highlands near Royal Lane and Abrams Road, this 1981-built two-story home has four bedrooms, three and half-baths, and 3,622 square feet of contemporary comfort. Beautiful tall mature trees shade the crisp white facade of the Viewside Drive home, built on one-third acre nestled among lush landscaping and canopy trees lining the cul de sac street.

Inside, the natural finish hardwood floors give the home a great texture and contrast to the contemporary vaulted ceilings and large picture windows. The sunroom has three walls of windows overlooking the backyard pool, outdoor fireplace, and the creek.

This home has two living areas, including the family room that features a wall of built-ins. There’s a perfect little wet bar overlooking the living area that’ll inspire an evening cocktail. The kitchen features granite countertops, farm sink, and stainless steel appliances including cooktop, oven, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator.

If you think the downstairs master bedroom is huge with its sitting area and fireplace, then wait until you see the bath and oversized double shower. You could do a cartwheel in there, not that we advise that. The bathroom also features a jetted tub, separate vanities, and walk-in closets. There are two additional bedrooms downstairs and a fourth bedroom upstairs.

This Dallas home is zoned for highly-rated Richardson ISD, including the high-performing Merriman Park Elementary, Forest Meadow Junior High, and Lake Highlands High School.

The Lake Highlands creek lot home at 9637 Viewside Drive is listed for $825,000 by Nora Ling Lane of Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

Hmmmm. No pictures of the kitchen. Is something not wonderful there?

You’re right, I normally would, but with limited photos, I chose the bar instead of the kitchen. I think I was just wishing for cocktails.
