Southlake

From staff reports

If your home is your castle, this nearly 20,000-square-foot mansion in Southlake, with its turrets and stained glass, takes that up a notch — and it will be up for auction this month.

The home at 3716 North White Chapel Boulevard sits on nearly two acres, and has eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and four powder rooms. It includes an elevator, in-home theater, workshop, and a garage with space for 15 cars.

A chef’s kitchen, wet bar, and large common spaces provide plenty of room for entertaining, and outdoors, a grotto-style pool and hot tub provide the fun and frolic, while the covered and open lounge areas and outdoor kitchen provide the opportunities for cooling down and dining al fresco.

The home was built by luxury builder J. Lambert Custom Homes in 2007, and originally sold for $4,900,000, according to the homebuilder’s portfolio. It has an Old World European feel, with brick and stone exterior, a spiral staircase with wrought iron railings, coffered ceilings, and two-story walls of windows, and hardwoods and marble throughout the home.

The home, which is near Bob Jones Park, is next to a greenbelt, and minutes from nature preserves, as well as shopping and dining at Southlake Town Center. You’re also a 15-minute drive from a day of golf at the Timarron Country Club, and there is also easy access to both DFW International and Love Field.

Matt Kreston with Concierge Auctions tells us that the bidding will begin on April 23 and go through April 25, with a $2.5 million reserve, and it’s being sold as-is, unfurnished and without contingencies. A $100,000 deposit is required for bidders. To register, or to see more photos, click here.
