If you want a chance of owning a rare nearly acre creek lot in Casa Linda Estates, better put on your running shoes. We’ve found a gorgeous remodel by Kettering Ideas, LLC, that just hit the market and is sure to get snatched up by a fast bidder.

The East Dallas house at 9330 Alta Mira Dr. has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, two dining areas, and 2,027 square feet, built in 1948 and sitting on 0.8 acres. Represented by Jacqui Bloomquist with Coldwell Banker Apex, Realtors, this property is one happy surprise after another with a wonderfully reimagined floorplan, red oak hardwood floors, and a high-end finish out that’s of the moment.

“Quality, craftsmanship, and amazing attention to detail set Kettering Ideas apart from the competition and [they showcase] the newest styles and trends, and giving the luckiest of buyers the opportunity to own a true gem,” Bloomquist said. “Every home is treated as its own entity, unlike any other remodeler or builder I have ever worked with — this is Kettering’s signature and each home is truly one-of-a-kind.”

There will be an open house this Saturday, June 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. Would you like a sneak peek?

This modern ranch is nestled in the trees on a .80 acre creek lot close to White Rock Lake, the Dallas Arboretum, and Casa Linda’s dining and shopping options

The house now has a covered front porch, new shutters, and cedar posts/accents. New windows, doors, and a sprinkler system will be installed prior to closing.

Professional landscaping includes drought-resistant plants

Kettering Ideas owner Steve Kettering does simply marvelous and memorable work. There was that extraordinary Vickery Place home, a Caruth Meadows reimagined ranch with magazine-worthy interiors, a Bluffview beauty, and a Buckner Terrace renovation that hit all the high notes. Obviously, we are fans.

“I have worked with Steve Kettering, owner and creative mastermind behind every project, for over a decade — each and every project he does goes through an amazing transformation,” Bloomquist said. “He puts his heart and soul into each project and does not take remodeling a home lightly, [treating] each property like it has it’s own story to tell, and he brings that story to life.”

A contemporary fireplace anchors the formal dining room with a floating wood beam mantle, tile surround, and gas logs.

The kitchen isa dream and looks like it jumped off the pages of a design magazine. Check out that mixed metal and orb-style drop pendant lighting. There is also a large center island, quartz countertops, pot filler, pull-out recycle bin, tons of white Shaker-style cabinets, floating shelves, and tile that runs counter to ceiling. The appliances are professional series stainless steel and include a six-burner gas range, double convection ovens, and a convection microwave.

There are lovely views from nearly every room — it is hard to believe this home sits in the middle of East Dallas.

The kitchen is open to one of the living areas, making it ideal for families and entertaining.

A more casual living area and sunroom are toward the back of the house — wouldn’t that sunroom make a great study or play area? The large windows really help show off the park-like setting of this house.

Part of what makes the homes renovated by Kettering so enchanting is the attention to detail throughout. They truly shine.

“If we cannot figure out a way to make a project exceptional, we cannot get excited about doing it,” Kettering said.

LED recessed lighting runs throughout the house and all walls were retextured.

High-end designer touches make this space look like it should be in a designer’s home.

New windows highlight the park-like setting of the property.

This house offers quite a bit of energy efficiency, too, a hallmark of Kettering’s designs. Green features include new double pane windows, tankless water heater, and a 16+ SEER variable speed HVAC.

Now, onto the master suite, where you’re sure to fall in love with built-in wardrobes that offer so much storage. In the ensuite bathroom, find a frameless glass shower, quartz countertops, dual sinks, floating shelves, and gold-tone fixtures and accents. Lovely.

Lovely views from the master bedroom through new windows.

The backyard is even more beautiful than we expected, with new and refreshed landscaping, a huge new wood deck, a flagstone patio, new gutters, and a privacy fence. There’s also a walkway leading down the the creek — can you imagine the summer fun for kids there?

What happened in front of the fireplace? Removed hearth and patched? Or exposed original wood but didn’t blend the finish? Maybe it’s just the lighting and camera angle…

Very nice! I really like the finish on the hardwood floors. Why is only half the roof metal, though?
