Get in Early on this Northwest Dallas Neighborhood with Stunning New Build | CandysDirt.com

Back in the early 2000s, the M Streets were an up-and-coming part of Dallas. You could build a house and get in on the ground floor of what is now one of the hottest areas of the city.

One of the new “it” neighborhoods is in Northwest Dallas near Walnut Hill and Midway, Midway Hollow. The location is convenient to the city’s best private schools and neighborhoods with easy access to highways, making it a snap to get around.

I’ve totally fallen for a brand new custom house there with one of the best finish-outs I’ve seen, at 9941 Coppedge Ln. Designed and built by 3939 Urban Homes, this transitional home is stunning, the work of owners Eldad Block and Vanessa Gavalya. This local duo totally “gets” the modern buyer and their aesthetic reflects that.

“Eldad Block, whose family owns Big D Lumber in Richardson, knows how to build — they have seen thousands of homes built, and what’s behind the walls truly matters for him,” Gavalya said. “The entire house is wrapped in 7/16-inch OSB with one-inch radiant/water resistant foam, as well as a Tyvek house wrap over the house sheathing for extra protection.”

This home has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half bath, study, game room, media room, and 4,975 square feet on two stories. There’s an open house on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 1-3 p.m. Would you like a sneak peek?

A recent open house showed off the entertaining possibilities of this house’s well thought-out floorplan.

Every room features top-of-the-line finish-outs, from Pella windows and imported Spanish tile, to a Pivot front door, and state-of-the-art security. Every detail was beautifully conceived and executed, resulting in an elegant and luxurious experience.

This home was made for entertaining, with an open floorplan and thoughtful spaces indoors and out. Floor-to-ceiling windows from the living room welcome you into the front living room and big widows by the kitchen overlook the incredible backyard with its resort-like swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. More on that later!

Enjoy the heart of the home in the totally luxe kitchen, any cook’s dream. Look at that island! Love the inset herringbone wood and waterfall edge with that gorgeous marble countertop. The pendant lights come from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and another hangs over the dining room table, as well. Kitchen features include commercial-grade, built-in appliances, and a farm sink, pot filler, walk-in pantry, and butler’s pantry with a wine refrigerator and ice maker.

Throughout the house, the custom cabinets are by Kråftige, the company Block and Gavalya partially own. Every bathroom has European-style floating cabinets with soft-close doors and drawers. The custom cabinets are built in Lancaster, Texas, and Kråftige can custom build for other builders and homeowners, too.

The butler’s pantry includes custom cabinetry and built-in shelves.

Across the expansive space from the kitchen and under the beamed and high ceiling, find the front living room. I absolutely love those hardwood floors and white oak beams. They carry throughout the first floor, except bathrooms.

In addition to this kitchen-dining-living room areas, the first floor has a study and two bedroom suites, one of which is the master.

An incredible fireplace surround with tile from Porcelanosa.

Downstairs bathroom for guests.

The downstairs study has lots of natural light and built-in shelving.

Decorative wood paneling in the master bedroom runs up the wall and arches over the ceiling.

A custom closet system in the master.

The master bath is a work of art with contemporary floating vanity, dual sinks, imported Spanish tile throughout, and a frameless glass wet area with dual shower heads and a soaker tub.

Marble countertops and modern wall tile.

Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and lots of closet space, as well as recessed lighting and sleek ceiling fans. Pictured below are some of the upstairs bedrooms, their stylish bathrooms, as well as the enormous media room. There’s a second utility room upstairs, too, convenient for doing the kids’ laundry.

Secondary bathrooms often look like they were quickly planned. Not so in this house, where every bathroom is elevated to high style.

An intimate upstairs living area has built-in shelves and those lovely hardwoods.

You could seat so many people in this gigantic media room upstairs!

Downstairs laundry connected to the master closet and mudroom. Notice the dog wash!

I’ve saved one of the best parts of this house for last, the patio, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, swimming pool, and spa. Wow! What a spectacular use of space. The polished concrete floor gleams and shows off the built-in stainless steel grill, vent hood and sink. At the other end, lots of room for entertaining with outdoor speakers.

Around the side of the house is an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off before or after being in the pool. That swimming pool and spa rival what I’ve seen in resorts — fabulous.

This Northwest Dallas Midway Hollow home is listed by Barbara Van Poole with Keller Williams Realty Dallas Preston Road for $1.35 million. To find out more or to schedule a private showing, call Barbara at 972-608-0777.

Outdoor shower.

Resort-like pool and spa.
