In DFW, the real estate community is a tight-knit group, and I’ve got the scoop on a big move from one of the movers and shakers.

Ebby Halliday Realtor Dennis Hammett is moving from the Lakewood/Lake Highlands office to Ebby’s Little White House this week! He’s making this strategic move to  establish a stronger presence on the west side of 75, starting Jan. 16.

“In order to be more competitive in the luxury markets west of Central Expressway, I have made the decision to make this move,” Hammett said. “This decision was not easy for me and has been filled with a range of emotions because the Lakewood/Lake Highlands family and staff has been the pillar of my success and there are no words to express my appreciation.”

Said Keith Newman, sales manager of Ebby’s Little White House: “We welcome Dennis to the Little White House. He has a proven track record of success that will serve him well as he continues to provide exceptional sales experiences to his valued clients.”

If you remember, Hammett was the 2014 “Rookie of the Year” at Ebby, a well-deserved accolade for a rising star. He’s made his mark in the East Dallas market: Dennis has been named the 2015 Lakewood/Lake Highlands No. 1 Top Producer, a 2016 Lakewood Top Producer, and both 2015 and 2016 D Magazine Best Realtor and Top Producer. All this in his first four years in the real estate business! Can you say natural talent?

Hammett’s background brings strong business connections throughout the world. He started his career in the fashion industry, joining Neiman Marcus at the age of 21. From there, Dennis launched into a 27-year aviation career with American Airlines, where he served in various positions impacting the customer experience from a product, sales, and service perspective. These positions afforded him extensive experience in marketing and product design, along with negotiations of numerous multimillion-dollar contracts.

A line from his bio sums it up: “For a real estate associate who is on trend, innovative, strategic, creative, and able to see every client’s dream, you can count on Dennis Hammett.”

What impresses me is Hammett’s concierge-style business model, offering services outside of the traditional home buying/selling process. Hammett provides a one-stop shop for his clients and does it all without assistants or team members. He has built a robust network of service providers that possess the same business ethics, which is invaluable to his clients and business.

“In order to offer a true VIP client experience, you have to keep total control of your service and your brand,” Hammett said.

If you don’t believe it, just take a look at his five-star rating online and the slew of client testimonials at dennishammett.ebby.com. No wonder he won the 2015 VIP Customer Service Award from Ebby Halliday!

“One of the reasons I want to strengthen my presence west of Central Expressway is that I currently reside in Uptown and lived many years in the Highland Park area,” Hammett said. “During this time I remodeled several homes there, as well as consulted on interior design projects for quite a few properties in the Park Cities and Preston Hollow areas. One of my first big listings after this move will be a stunning Preston Hollow-area luxury property, coming soon to the market — stay tuned.”

Even though Hammett is moving to Ebby’s Little White House, he’ll still be a strong agent in the Lakewood area.

“There will always be a special place in my heart for East Dallas and a sense of loyalty to Ebby’s Lakewood/Lake Highlands office,” he said. “I am so grateful for the mentoring and support I received there, and I’m so excited for this transition and the opportunities it will bring.”

    Candy,
When I read this article, one of the side banner ads was a Dave Perry Miller Ad with Dave & Kenneth Walters. Since Kenneth has moved to Coldwell Banker, you might want to change that ad.
