The Shelby Residences offers sleek, chic urban living in East Dallas’ University Crossing neighborhood. It’s about to get even better with the unveiling of their new rooftop deck during a fall social on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Take in the stunning downtown Dallas views from this newly completed space, with multiple seating areas and fire pits. While you’re there, take a tour of the model home, designed by Cheryl Ketner Interiors, along with several of the remaining 10 homes available for purchase.

The evening will include a festive fall theme, courtesy of West Elm, whose designers will be decorating the Owners’ Lounge and Rooftop Deck with new fall accessories. One of their designers will be onsite to answer any questions about West Elm’s products and give design tips.

“The fall social will also feature DJ and Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s agent Jeff Mitchell, popular from ‘Decks on the Park,’ spinning tunes to keep the vibe fun and social,” said The Shelby Residences’ Sales Director Denise Edmondson. “Our visitors can indulge in a free craft beer tasting from Firestone Walker Brewing, or other spirits, complemented by finger foods from Central Market.”

For those with a thirst for knowledge, don’t miss an update on the Mockingbird Pedestrian Bridge from Patrick Sanders, Executive Director of the University Crossing Public Improvement District, at 6:30 p.m. The bridge is under construction just steps from The Shelby Residences and will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood, connecting residents to the shops and restaurants of Mockingbird Station and linking up with trails to Uptown.

Located near Mockingbird Lane and Greenville Avenue at 5609 SMU Blvd., The Shelby Residences is a 55-unit contemporary residence just steps away from The Katy Trail, and a five-minute walk to Mockingbird Station and the DART light rail, making most of Dallas a train ride away.

This puts residents in the heart of one of the most coveted parts of Dallas—there are over 20 restaurants within walking distance! It’s just one of the reasons summer sales were spectacular. The Shelby Residences sold 21 units and only have 10 left for sale. Some of their best floorplans are still available, with views of downtown Dallas.

“The Shelby Residences’ location is one of the best in the city, and our contemporary design and amenities make this property stand out,” said Edmondson. “We are newly renovated and all our residences come standard with Puccini Porcelain wood-grain floors, quartz countertops in the kitchen, custom cabinets, and stainless steel appliances.”

Homes at The Shelby Residences are available in two color palettes. “Torrey Pines” is dramatic and chic, with black quartz countertops, contrasting white cabinets, and a custom look. “Le Mans” features white crystal quartz countertops; dove gray cabinets; and an array of soft, light grays and creams, creating a contemporary, serene feel.

Prices for The Shelby condos range from $310,000 to $387,000, and sizes range from 1,158 to 1,192 square feet in 2-2 options. Monthly HOA fees are $0.26 cents per square foot.

“This affordable price point allows for renters to become homeowners, as well as financially savvy people to invest in their future,” Edmondson said. “We offer a low-stress lifestyle where you don’t have to depend on your car for the everyday necessities, plus a strong sense of community and a great neighborhood vibe that buyers of all age love.”
