I should have reminded you sooner, sorry. I did our’s last night and paid $900 for the convenience plus 40,000 Advantage Miles. That’s about two tickets, right? Anyhow, we pay our own property taxes because once upon a time, children, banks gave out this thing called interest, and if you kept your moola in the bank, you actually earned money on it! Imagine that! Now, it probably makes no difference: let the mortgage company pay it.

22 minutes. Better head over to the website now…

I think you actually have until midnight tonight (2/1) since the 31st fell on a Sunday. 🙂

True, but they advise doing a credit card payment 24 to 48 hours before deadline in case of snafu’s.

DON’T PUT IT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE MONEY, GET A CASH ADVNCE AND PAY THRU ACH. NO FEES

There was a time that they didn’t charge the 2.25% convenience fee and I racked up miles by paying mine and my daughters property taxes. Now it’s kind of expensive – but then you need another trip. Problem is, $900 would buy two tickets to most places with some planning and leave you with enough for dinner and a couple glasses of wine!

I’m gearing up for a busy tax season, complete with software that will provide “regression analysis” for all of our clients. I’m hoping it will allow me some time to take a breath in May and June. Now is a great time for property owners to sign up for our services, then they can forget about it this year and each year going forward, knowing that it’s being reviewed and protested and they aren’t paying more than their fair share!

Yes, this is probably the last year to charge the taxes!
