Pat Snuffer Settles Restaurant Lawsuit, Lists Stunning Preston Hollow Home in the Honeypot With Fab Kitchen

5549 Falls extI’m sure Pat Snuffer is going to have a very merry holiday: he and the new owners of the Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar entity — sold through a bankruptcy last March — shook hands and settled their differences over the weekend to end a lawsuit. The restaurateur and Firebrand Restaurant Corp. were gearing up to wrestle over a restaurant location on Lower Greenville Avenue that Snuffer wanted to open as “Pat’s Burger and Cheddar Fries” (the very name is making me so hungry). Happens that is the very same location where, in 1978, Pat debuted the original Snuffer’s. The Firebrand folks, Mike Karns, said no way, so a court date was set after Karns snagged a temporary restraining order.

But now that court date has been canceled: Snuffer’s attorney, Larry Friedman, came on board a week ago, and the two parties negotiated. Larry told Robert Wilonsky Snuffer is abandoning his plans for that site and has other fish to fry with a new restaurant concept he will launch in the fall.

Wonder if those plans include moving, and where: Snuffer has his house on the market with the genius of Preston Hollow sales, Mark Cain, listed for $3,495,000. I recall when this home was built in 2001: no expense was spared. It’s on a hefty .62 acre lot, perfect location between Walnut Hill and Park Lane. And it is 8593 square feet of stunning, perfect for gracious living and grand-scale entertaining.

Because they know how to entertain and “flow” large groups of people, it’s what they do in their work, maybe it comes naturally to them. They also build kitchens the way some people build Ferraris: this one is loaded with all the chef’s latest tools plus custom millwork and a service area. There are large, open living areas, soaring ceilings, an amazing master suite with fireplace, and an outdoor living oasis with covered patio, pool & spa. Six bedrooms, six and one half bath, formals, game-room, bonus room, and Mosquito control. Which is great, because this is Old Preston Hollow, there are towering mature trees, enough grassy lawn for a softball game, and a Who’s Who list of neighbors: Mark Cuban down the road, Randall Stephenson and his compound up, and a host of wonderful peeps in-between.

Impressed with the maturity of the parties involved who chose not to waste vast court resources and time, but instead have a professional disagreement, and end it like civilized people.
