ABPA Homes For The Holidays Tour Features Four Amazing Highland Park Homes

This year’s Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Association (ABPA) Homes for the Holidays Home Tour will feature four gorgeous Highland Park homes. Chaired by Suzi Ellis and Claudia Williams, the tour will feature a custom-built enclave on Abbott, a luxurious Beverly Drive estate, a home on Crescent with loads of Old World charm, and a “travel-inspired” eclectic on Lindenwood.

The home tour is Friday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will cost $20 per ticket if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. You can buy tickets starting today from ABPA members, at Tom Thumb stores, and through armstrongbradfield.com. While you’re enjoying some of the most incredible homes in Highland Park, you can also shop the brand-new ABPA market, located at 3500 Beverly, one of the featured homes, where you can find gifts and other holiday treasures.

“The Home Tour has established itself as one of our community’s most treasured events to kick off the holiday season,” said Tracy Wallingford, ABPA president. “The new holiday market will be a great addition to this year’s tour as we continue to support Highland Park’s two elementary schools.”

The home tour is a significant fundraiser for ABPA, raising more than $400,000 for educational support at Armstrong and Bradfield elementary schools inside Highland Park ISD. This year’s home tour is sponsored by Baylor Medical Center at Dallas, Briggs-Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Long Cove, Sewell and Southern Botanical.

4912 Abbott – A beautiful custom Janet Bradley-designed home built in 2005 features a hallway with a vaulted brick ceiling anchored by an L. Rocca painting above an antique buffet that leads to a spacious living room showcasing Fortuny lamps and pillows, a coffee table made from pieces of an old building in Chicago and the femur of a Wooly Mammoth on the sofa table.

3500 Beverly – Despite the size of this luxurious 22,000-square-foot estate, there is unparalleled attention to every detail that make this home a standout from family monograms hidden on the custom-painted ceiling mural by Eyecon to grand European paintings by Toussaint to a custom black Saint-Louis crystal chandelier. There is something to catch everyone’s eye.

3507 Crescent – Walk through the front doors of a grand two-story foyer with beautiful Monticello parquet floors of plain sawn oak and split finger walnut. Follow the curved staircase with wrought iron finishes upwards as a cut crystal chandelier lights your way to the top where you’re greeted by an expansive master suite.

3501 Lindenwood – Enjoy an eclectic mix of interiors from this 2009 customer-built home filled with collections from the owner’s travels including trips to Africa. The living room exudes Mid-Century Modern with a Hans Wegner chair, the downstairs guestroom evokes Old Hollywood Glamour with vintage movie paraphernalia, and the outdoor pool area is flanked by an Indian Hindu goddess statue and Balinese pottery.
