It's My Mansion: Too Cute To Believe, This Casa View Haven Home Is Perfect For a Pair

I know I harp a lot about what’s going on in East Dallas, but you just cannot deny that this area has some serious potential, with great growth, excellent prices, and an upward demographic of young professionals and growing families.
This week’s house is in Casa View Haven at 2245 San Medina. Listed with Rogers Healy and Associates agent Carissa Lair, this incredibly cute three-bedroom, one-bath home is priced to sell at $139,000. The sellers, who are planning to expand their family, are so sad to leave this neighborhood. I can see why — the Casa View Haven Neighborhood Association is the prime reason this area was named one of the best places to buy a home by The Dallas Morning News.
I love this little area of Dallas, so much so, in fact, that I moved here! There are wonderful people, great location, good value, and adorable post-war traditional homes. This house at 2245 San Medina is in fantastic shape with gorgeous wood floors and tons of updates. The bathroom, though, is all original. I am not a fan of most 1950s bathroom tile color schemes, but this one, I love! The green/dark green tile is just adorable, and in great shape, too.
I think the kitchen is cute, too, especially with the breakfast bar added to the island. Sure, the huge refrigerator makes the area seem small, but surely you can scale it down and make this kitchen great for serving up small crowds!
The backyard is spacious and green, just a real family-friendly oasis from your short commute — about 15 minutes to downtown. And if you want more space to run around, you’re less than a mile from White Rock Lake.
So what do you think, is this a value or what?
Cute place with a great backyard.

I love large refrigerators — in this hot weather you cannot leave anything out, it will go bad. I used to say I needed a second refrigerator just for storage. Last home I got mites in my pantry and had to dump all the staples… now I keep spices in the fridge. No more mites!
