The public and press got their first peek at the newly born son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today! That got us at the CandysDirt.com HQ thinking of all the amazing homes in Dallas, there had to be one with a nursery fit for royalty. We enlisted the help of Ebby Halliday Realtors and their groundbreaking Ebby App to find the cutest nests for a new baby.

Creme de la creme at 6323 Meadow Road

Royal Nursery 1

This nursery was the winner of our informal poll. It’s so sweet and gender neutral with the cream tones and soft decor. We also love the chandelier and daybed — perfect for soft lighting and a great spot to doze when you have a teething infant on your hands. There’s also an adjoining bathroom. Just dreamy!

Sure, Will and Kate’s boy won’t be spending much time around a barn, but surely they’d appreciate this cute nursery done up Old MacDonald style! Pigs, sheep, cows, trees and even clouds on the ceiling would make this a fun room for a baby to wake up to!

Hey, the second royal baby could be a girl, right? Here’s some inspiration for Will and Kate, who should know as new parents that you can never be too prepared!

All aboard the Ark at 6340 Monticello Avenue

Royal Nursery 4

How cute and understated is this? I just love the little Ark wall hanging and the cute monkey swaying from the ceiling. The cute little themed draperies are understated, for sure, but definitely add to the ambiance!

Union Jack at 3860 Whitehall Drive

Royal Nursery 5

It’ll be a while before the new prince can fit into this room, but it’s a great place for a little boy, that’s for sure. I love the ladder that leads to a loft, the chalkboard paint for safe wall scribbling, and the subtle nautical theme and Union Jack pillow!

Just so you know what kind of standards royalty requires, here’s a little info about the hospital wing where Britain’s newest prince was born:

The Lido Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital offers satellite TV, radio, a safe, bedside telephone, internet access, and a fridge. Patients are offered a free daily newspaper each morning, and a hotel service team provides a customized menu to patients, as well as wines for new parents and a champagne toast to honor the child’s arrival.

According to The Guardian, an $8,000 deposit is required to secure a stay at the Lido Wing, and every 24 hour stay beyond the standard allotment is $1,560.
