Oh Beyonce, you don’t need to put a ring on it to buy a house. You knew that, though, right? Well, so do one in five homebuyers according to the National Association of Realtors. That’s twice as many single ladies buying homes than single men. Throw your hands up in the air, folks.

The NAR’s survey showed that women buying a home tended to be middle-aged, or 45 and older. Not only is the purchasing power of a woman being noticed by Realtors, but builders are taking heed, too, constructing homes that have two master suites to accomodate a non-romantic roommate.

So, how many homes have you sold recently to single women?
