Tina Craig, A.K.A. The Bag Snob, Has a Lot of Dirt in Her Backyard

You simply must read this great piece from Dallas CultureMap on our own Tina Craig, who pens the popular and extremely influential and popular blog Bag Snob. Not only does she give the word “snob” a new interpretation (and respect), she has some damn good advice that mimics my own web experiences: be nice to everybody.

“I had been corresponding with a woman who I thought was a 20-year-old college student saving up for her first designer bag. She thought I was a cranky 60-year-old woman from the Upper East Side,” Craig says. “Turns out she was Linda Grant, an award-winning author whose best friend was the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman. Be good to everybody, because you just never know.”

Of course, I’m a real estate snob and proud of it. And actually, so is Tina: her husband is David Craig, one of the founders of Craig Ranch in McKinney. I have seen some of the high end homes up there on the TPC. Craig Ranch was rated as the number two best place to live by Money Magazine, who chose McKinney. When I interviewed David, I relayed a story of how my husband one morning accused me of not coming home the night before — he did not realize I had been on the computer all night, blogging. David related completely.

“Happens at our house all the time,” he said. “Maybe your husband and I should get together!”
