Addicted to Real Estate and Great Byron Nelson Parties: LaMarcus Aldridge Must Be Collecting Dallas Real Estate, and We Love It!

The beauty of blogging is the open forum it provides to the community. I posted last evening about LaMarcus Aldridge’s two Dallas homes out in Southlake — one is on the market and in fact has a contingency on it and also one of the prettiest pools I’ve seen. A trusty “commenter” — love it that word’s now a noun — wrote to tell me LaMarcus also has a home in Irving. Checking MLS and DCAD, I have learned a hard lesson: anyone who’s addicted to real estate usually has property in both Dallas and Tarrant County.

Like golf? Want to give the best Byron Nelson party ever? This 3-story Mediterranean home faces the 3rd fairway at the Enclave TPC in Las Colinas. The Four Seasons is not too far away, either. Five years old, 5867 square feet. Looks like he picked up this one in 2010. It features 5 spacious living areas, including a great outdoor experience,  5 bedrooms, 5 full and three half baths, a master suite with library on the main level, an elevator, a pretty gourmet kitchen, great room, media room, gameroom, exercise room, even a room for the dang wine that is screaming for a few bottles. Nothing says empty house, make an offer on me more than an empty wine cellar. Of course there is a knock-out pool & spa, and running stream where LaMarcus kept those great legs in shape, and of course that golf course beckoning from every window. Original asking price was a whopper — $2,999,999 when my dear friend Claude Choate had it listed in 2010. (Claude and I go waaaay back! Are you holding out on me buddy?) Then it slinked down to $2.8ish. Then down further to $2.2 when Keller Williams’ Nicole Andrews came on the scene, and now Briggs’ Pete and Susie Ryan have it at $1,795,000 down from $2.1.

So LaMarcus, what other dirt do you have in your portfolio? I am going to be watching this guy shoot hoops with a whole lot more fascination now!
