This weekend is the busiest weekend of the year for parties. Next weekend is Christmas Eve and Day, so this weekend before bears the brunt of holding a ton of parties across Dallas. How do I know?
Every single outside heater in Dallas is rented!
Need a little fluff for your house party decor — garland, mantle, tree or centerpiece? If you think that all the furniture stores in Dallas are gone, vanished, you may be right: no more Gabberts or Robb & Stucky. More on that in a future post.
But, there is one man still very much an anomaly in the Dallas furniture business: Mark Lafferty. He has survived and thrived. And he has a brand new secondary store at Preston and Royal, south west side, 10759 Preston Road: The Gallery Interiors. Mark’s other store is Antique Stop. I mean, who opens a second store in the middle of a recession, and thrives? Mark Lafferty.
What I love: everything. The Gallery Interiors offers great gifts and merchandise, and now Mark tells me he has a room absolutely devoted to “fluffling” garlands, arrangements, just about anything we need. Oh and everything in the store is 40% off, too, just for the holidays.
Or as we say around here, holi-DAZE!

I just stopped by The Gallery Interiors! Absolutely gorgeous faux wreaths, garland and mantlepieces! And, as you point out, 40 percent off! Plus great stocking stuffers too…frames, boot toppers, jewelry, candles etc. So easy to park and run in… I'll probably go back again tomorrow!!!!

I have more photos to post, what beautiful designs! Next year I am going to literally give Mark the keys to my house. I love the centerpieces and the tree designs. WE forget that during storage, ribbons get bent and flowers scrunched. Time to fluff fluff fluff and Gallery Interiors is just around the corner!
