In this week’s Agent Migration column, we check in with Gia Marshllo, who joined Allie Beth Allman late last year, and Jeremy Moore who joined the Hewitt & Habgood Group in February. Did you make a big move? Contact Joshua Baethge.

Gia Marshello Staying Busy at Allie Beth Allman

Gia Marshello is enjoying life at Allie Beth Allman & Associates. The 15-year Dallas real estate mainstay moved to the firm in December.

“I just saw more opportunity here,” Marshello said. “Allie Beth was expanding their market share, they were growing and I wanted to be a part of that.”

Throughout her career Marshello has sold a mix of historic homes and newer properties. She’s also sold duplexes and high rises. So far 2019 has been one of her busiest years. She works out of the Allie Beth Lakewood office and has seen people coming in at a faster rate than ever before.

“It’s great to be here and I’m looking forward to expanding and growing my business personally and professionally,” she said.

We are absolutely thrilled to feature Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty Vice President Gia Marshello today. Why? Well, besides the fact that she’s just about the nicest person on the planet, she’s also immensely successful and absolutely down-to-earth at the same time. How is that possible? Seriously, we want to know! A native of New Jersey, Marshello now lives in Lakewood and is loving it, though a second home in Aspen might be in her future (hey, we don’t blame you!).

Gia’s great attitude and service-oriented work philosophy reminds us a lot of Jeff Lindigrin with Great Western Home Loans. What has your lender done for you lately? Find out what you’re missing by calling Jeff Lindigrin today. And don’t forget to stay tuned to Jeff’s Saturday radio show 4 p.m. every Saturday on KLIF 570 AM.

In the mid-1940s, not long after World War II ended, a woman moved into the Munger Place home at 710 Dumas Street. Her two sisters lived on the same block.  She would remain there seven decades until leaving for an assisted living facility last year.

When she moved out, the 1921-built home still had many of its original elements, including double-hung windows with wavy glass, and beveled glass exterior and interior doors.  It was also in need of significant repairs, making it an ideal project for Steel Toe Stiletto, the general contracting company owned by Tam Pham.

“Tam is a true custom builder,” Allie Beth Allman & Associates’ Gia Marshello said. “What makes her unique is that she goes into these dilapidated properties and makes them gorgeous.”

This gorgeous, just-completed modern farmhouse is another beautiful, energy-efficient build from CandysDirt.com Approved Builder JLD Custom Homes.

Immediately, when I hear the words “modern farmhouse,” my ears perk up. Sometimes, though, the term is used so broadly and incorrectly that it’s been used to describe Tudors sporting a coat of white paint, Craftsman homes built in the 1920s and recently updated, and the random ranch fixed up by Fixer Upper fans.

This home, however, gets modern farmhouse exactly right. That’s what you’d expect from CandysDirt.com Approved Builder JLD Custom Homes. And it’s crazy energy efficient, too!

You could say that JLD Custom Homes were experts at building houses on Tucker Street. They recently completed their sixth home in this little enclave and it just so happens it is the only home available in Lakewood Hills for less than $1 million. The location is superb given that Tucker Street is a cul-de-sac that backs up on to the Santa Fe Trail, so you won’t have any through traffic. Just a peaceful neighborhood in the Lakewood Elementary School attendance area. With four bedrooms, a bonus room, four bathrooms, and a large backyard, this is a perfect addition to the neighborhood.

The dramatic entryway is just the beginning for this four-bed, three-and-a-half-bath home in the M Streets neighborhood. As you walk in the front door of 4418 Somerville Ave., the carefully selected design features immediately draw the eye upwards to the impressive chandelier and 22-foot ceilings. The floating staircase is another subtle cue that emphasizes the height of the home while also tying the two levels together with a seamless flow.

“We worked hard to save that 42-inch oak tree in the front yard,” said Jeff Dworkin, principal at CandysDirt.com Approved Builder JLD Custom Homes. “The home was set back an additional 10 feet to minimize the damage to the tree roots. Gravel with stepping stones was used approaching the door, not concrete, to have a pervious cover.”
