Share News:

Host Candy Evans sat down with Fred Balda, President of Hillwood Communities, for this episode of Dallas Dirt to discuss housing en masse, particularly their new developments at Harvest, Tree Line, and Landmark. The Fort Worth-based Perot company specializes in master-planned communities, which include signature developments like AllianceTexas, Circle T Ranch, and Frisco Station.
Balda discussed the company’s various projects, the challenges of the housing market, and what type of amenities buyers are looking for.
“It’s been a big rebuilding year for us,” Balda said. “We probably have 3,500 lots that are under development right now, which is the biggest development year we’ve ever had.”
Balda highlighted the need for a diverse range of housing options to meet the demands of the market and the challenges that developers face like land prices, construction costs, and entitlements on housing affordability.
