Texas Society of Architects (TxA) is pleased to announce the 2024 award-winning projects of the annual TxA Design Awards. Complete details for each of the awarded projects can be reviewed on the TxA website.
The TxA Design Awards program recognizes outstanding architectural and urban design projects by architects practicing in Texas to promote public interest in design excellence. The competition focuses statewide attention on the quality of our built environment while highlighting the important role architects play in every community.
After reviewing 251 entries the jury selected 15 outstanding projects. This year’s jurors included Roberto de Leon, FAIA, of de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop in Louisville, KY; Gordon Gill, FAIA, of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in Chicago; and Celia Esther Arredondo Zambrano, of Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. As the jurors deliberated all agreed that overall, the plethora of entries represented an “incredible caliber of projects all around,” said Robert de Leon, FAIA.
All winning projects will be featured in the upcoming September/October 2024 issue of Texas Architect magazine. The projects will be recognized at the TxA 85th Annual Conference & Design Expo, which will occur October 3–5, 2024 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
