Dallas icon and entrepreneur Allie Beth Allman receives the first Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award.

Allie Beth Allman has put thousands of people in homes, many of them in the Dallas area’s most expensive and prestigious properties.

And she’s built a high-end real estate powerhouse brokerage that she sold to Warren Buffett’s HomeServices of America.

Recognized as one of Dallas’ leading real estate entrepreneurs, Allman has received the inaugural Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dallas Business Journal.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, who introduced Allman at the awards ceremony Aug. 25, said he met her in the early 2000s when he enlisted her to find a house in the Park Cities, where he was moving from Plano.

“She started out as my realtor and it’s grown into an amazing relationship, a friendship,” the NFL Hall of Famer and newly signed ESPN Monday Night Football broadcaster said. “It’s gone even beyond me. It’s with my daughters. She’s taken my girls on as one of her own grandchildren. She’s taken them on a ton of trips.

Aikman called Allman a “Dallas treasure,” who represents a “Who’s Who list of clients.”

“Allie Beth does an amazing job of making people feel special and feel loved,” Aikman said. “That’s part of why she’s as good as she is at what she does within her profession.”

Keith Conlon, president of Allie Beth Allman & Associates, said Allman has served as a mentor to him since he started 14 years ago with the high-end, Dallas-based residential brokerage Allman created in 1985.

“She’s just always so positive and looks at everything with integrity and honesty and teaches you how to do everything the right way,” Conlon said.

Allman is a masterful leader with a passion for real estate and people — and matching the right person with the right home, said Gino Blefari, president and CEO of HomeServices of America Inc.

“It’s the Berkshire way and the Warren Buffett way,” Blefari said. “We look for great companies led by great leaders, and that was exactly what Allie Beth Allman’s company was.”

Allman said roots, respect and responsibility serve as her three “guiding lights.”

Allman said you must give respect to receive it. “The key to giving respect is being a good listener, and also having patience,” she said.

“As the saying goes, the harder you work, the luckier you get,” she said. “This is perhaps the most important key to success.”
Allie Beth Allman & Associates sells more in Highland Park and University Park than any other brokerage, according to the Multiple Listing Service, and leads in the sale of homes priced at $3 million and higher in DFW. Connect with an agent: https://www.alliebeth.com/associates/int
