Size Matters: Eight-Bedroom Beauty On Park Lane Tops the List of This Week’s Open Houses

4531 Park Lane

Homebuyers looking to go big have a few spacious stunners to gawk at this weekend. These homes are big, beautiful, and unique. And while two of the three are in the luxury $3 million range, we also found a brand new build downtown for $645,000.

Data shows bidding wars are slowing down, and the high prices we saw during the COVID-19 pandemic are leveling out.

“While it’s still a sellers’ market, an uptick in inventory gives you a window of opportunity to jump back in,” said Bob McCranie, broker associate and team owner with Texas Pride Realty Group. “You may still be competing with some buyers, but it likely won’t be anything like it was just a few short months ago.”

Estate Sale

We told you about the home at 4531 Park Lane in July, but it deserves another mention. With an unheard-of eight bedrooms and a sprawling acre lot in Preston Hollow, this spot is darn near perfect.

Built in 1952 and expanded to 7,408 square feet in 2006, this home is actually an estate. The $3.5 million price tag comes with five-and-a-half bathrooms, five fireplaces, four living spaces, and an eight-car temperature-controlled garage.

The new owners can escape the daily hustle and retreat to a fabulous indoor sauna or the covered patio with outdoor kitchen overlooking a serene 10-foot pool and waterfall. A gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and a built-in banquette. The primary suite has a fireplace, custom walk-in closets, an attached living area, with access to the pool.

Realtor Kevin Curran with Redfin Corporation is hosting an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.

Fresh As a Tulip

The luxury modern home at 6815 Tulip Lane has some similarities to the Park Lane property, but make no mistake — it stands on its own merits.

The five-bedroom, five-and-one-half bath abode in Preston Hollow is listed at $3.3 million.

Built in 2017, its unique characteristics include a landscaped backyard oasis, covered front porch, and open floor plan where first-floor living, dining, and kitchen spaces are connected.

The living area has walls of windows, 12-foot ceilings, and built-in shelving surrounding a cozy fireplace. The kitchen features a breakfast bar, quartz counters, and stainless-steel appliances. A secondary kitchen offers space for meal prep. The primary bedroom overlooks the backyard with heated pool, spa, water feature, and gazebo. If that’s not enough, there’s a three-car garage and game room.

Realtor Storrie Ferrell with Dallas Luxury Realty is hosting an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Song of the Southwood

New construction in the heart of downtown awaits a new owner.

The modern residence at 2374 Southwood Drive is in Oak Park Estates near the heart of downtown. That means quick access to Tyler Station, Bishop Arts District, Dallas Zoo, and the future Southern Gateway Park, billed as the heartbeat of South Dallas.

With designer touches and high-end finishes, this five-bedroom, four-bath abode has plenty of space spread out across 3,042 square feet.

Special features in the $645,000 abode include a walk-in closet in the primary bedroom and private entry to the backyard, where a covered tile patio is perfect for entertaining guests.

Realtor Tomelia Hinton with Brownstone Real Estate Group is hosting an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Thank you for the inclusion! This is a different market than the first 3 months of the year.
