An estate sale happening today and Saturday at 6601 Hunters Glen Rd. is opening the doors to the nearly 13,000-square-foot Georgian estate designed by architect Bertram Hill for prominent Dallas businessman and politician Cullen F. Thomas in 1927.

The estate, situated on roughly 3.3 acres in University Park, has long been considered one of the Park Cities’ landmark homes. CandysDirt.com previously featured the home when the estate hit the market for $35 million, highlighting Hill’s formal Georgian design, sweeping grounds, manicured gardens, and rooms built for large-scale entertaining.

Now, many of the contents inside that historic home are headed to new owners.

According to the listing by Help Me Rhonda Estate Sales, the multi-family sale includes a sprawling collection of designer furnishings, original artwork, sculpture, rugs, antiques, fitness equipment, and outdoor furniture spread throughout the historic home. Shoppers can expect everything from Persian rugs and crystal to a sleek pool table, Pilates reformer, Peloton bike, and McKinnon Harris patio furniture.

The artwork lineup alone is enough to stop Dallas design lovers in their tracks.

Artists listed in the sale include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Robert Motherwell, Ivan Schwebel, Mark Kostabi, Senen Ubina, and others.

Photos from the sale show a glass-topped closet island that looks more boutique showroom than dressing room, where rows of color-coordinated designer clothing hang in custom millwork closets.

In the men’s dressing room, framed Aaron Donald Rams jerseys hang in both modern Los Angeles colors and a St. Louis-era throwback palette, alongside a Cooper Kupp jersey and stacks of folded streetwear and athletic gear.

If you’re planning to go, prepare accordingly. At nearly 13,000 square feet to cover in this estate, this is less a quick estate sale stop and more a full-property expedition. With goods like this, there’ll be police on hand and likely a line out the door and down the street. Organizers note that no large purses will be allowed inside.
