Dwell with Dignity’s The STUDIO is Back: Shop Dallas’ Premier Design Pop-Up

There are two ways to shop The STUDIO: decisively — or with regret.
Now in its 15th year, the newly rebranded Thrift Studio is back, transforming Dwell with Dignity’s headquarters into a series of designer-created vignettes where everything you see is fair game — from major furniture to the smallest finishing details — with proceeds supporting the nonprofit’s work across North Texas.

What keeps people coming back isn’t just the pricing — it’s the mix. Each space is filled with one fabulous find after another.
The real question becomes what pieces you’re taking home.
For designer Kaky Kuby of Studio Thomas James, The STUDIO is an opportunity to step out of the box. “It’s like running with your wildest dreams,” she said. “Pushing things a little further and just having fun again.”

That energy shifts from one installation to the next.
Erica McCain of McCain by Design Interiors built hers around the reality of motherhood — layered, busy, and constantly shifting. “It’s kids, it’s work…and then it’s wine, whiskey, and willpower,” she laughed.
At Yates Desygn, Chief of Staff Dustin Ward said the team started with a single piece of art and built outward, creating a “gentleman’s pied-à-terre” — a place where a well-traveled gentleman can hang his hat and gather with friends.

Behind it all, design coordinator Joel Baldazo keeps the focus where it belongs. “I love this organization,” he said.
“When you see the impact firsthand, it’s hard not to want to be a part of it.”
For designer Arina Gurfinkel of Roco Xander by Amara Home Designs, the mission is what grounds it all. “Creating a safe home — an environment that improves wellbeing — is everything,” she said. “To know another mom goes to bed with her child in a comfortable place of their own…that’s worth it.”

Inventory turns quickly and merchandise is restocked every Monday. The best time to shop is earlier in the week when fresh additions hit the floor, according to Dwell with Dignity Executive Director Teresa Charnock.
Since its founding, Dwell with Dignity has completed more than 285 home transformations and 55 community spaces, serving thousands of individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness and poverty across North Texas.
“A home is more than four walls,” said Charnock.
“It’s the foundation for stability, for dignity, and for the ability to move forward.”
And if you’ve been to The STUDIO, you know that what sells there is what makes the work possible.
Located at 1833 E. Levee St., Dallas, The STUDIO is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 9.
