Mission Impossible Becomes Possible In This Nevada Home

So you are considering changing your career? The life of a luxury realtor leaves you longing for adventure, daring and espionage? Your new preferred career is that of an operative for a secret government agency where you get to dangle through ceilings or steal valuable jewels to save the world? Well Bubba, I have the most perfect house for you.

The home featured in this week’s column will most definitely prepare you for a future daring life full of drama and escapades. Think of Tom Cruise in any one of those Mission Impossible movies.

Now I am going to be completely honest, I have never watched any of those movies. They are not really my thing. Now, a  young Tom Cruise dancing around in his underwear, well now, I will pre-purchase my ticket for that show.

Heh, heh, heh, yeah baby! Now that’s what I’m talking about. The ‘80s were marvelous. I digress.

The only thing missing from this house is the Mission Impossible theme song playing on loudspeakers as you enter the property. Located at 608 North Racetrack Road, Henderson, Nevada, this four-bedroom, four-bath home sits on almost an acre. At 4,016 square feet, the owners are asking 1,349,000. 

Let us begin in the bathrooms.

The wavy tile in the first bathroom is like one of those spinners that hypnotizes people so they will bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken on command.

The planter in the second bathroom is a great decoy in order to jump someone while they are most vulnerable. Because really, who takes a shower with a planter that big?

Aaahhh, more purple hue lighting. You know you are in the living room of a villain when you have a chandelier putting out the purple lighting.

Now, I hope you are ready to dangle from the ceiling to steal the jewels portion of this house.

This room oozes Mission Impossible. The only thing missing are the laser beams along the floor that you have to hop and skip over.

Exactly! Now, I can understand the need for this type of room if you are indeed Tom Cruise and you want to practice dangling into a room of prized jewels. But for everyday people, this room is a trip to Crazytown.

I will show you my favorite room of this entire house.

Yes, that is right, the laundry room.  The machines are right next to each other and whenever I feel the urge, I can make myself some warm buttered toast as I wait for my sundries to dry. This is the laundry room for a queen.
