For over 50 years, Peacock Alley has been a go-to for sumptuous, luxury linens. But now, the beloved Dallas-based brand is taking it one step further. With the opening of a groundbreaking new Uptown flagship, it’s setting the same gold standard for the shopping experience.

Credit Vice President of Company Experience Grant Jackson for finding the crème de la crème of locations — a 120-year-old, two-story bungalow at 2711 Fairmount Street. The six-bedroom house has charm, warmth, history, and, most importantly, just the right configuration of space.

“We’re able to showcase the brand in a real-life setting; how to put together a bed in a seamless, sophisticated, and timeless way,” said Jackson.

“Customers can visualize how bedding will look in their space,” adds Showroom Manager Caroline Calatozzo. “It’s our job to home in on making your bedroom the sanctuary you want it to be.”

The house itself has built-in character.

A staircase features original moldings; the windows, original glass. “We wanted to preserve as much we could,” said Jackson. “Instead of pulling the fireplace out, we built a protective covering and turned it into a display case.”

Individual bedrooms provide ample space to accommodate Peacock Alley’s full array of sheeting, duvets, blankets, pillows, mattresses, and mattress toppers. The bath collection gets its own dedicated space.

Home décor is new to the mix. Jackson tapped friends of the brand to collaborate – Mark Sikes for lighting fixtures, Paul Schneider for handcrafted ceramic lamps, among others. A private label rug program features wools, sisals, and seagrass. There are also custom beds, side tables, and chairs.

Artwork is from next-door neighbor Blue Print. Robes, throw pillows, books, candles, linen wash, and other giftables round out the assortment.

“Our goal was to create an inviting space where people can get everything from a $30 candle to a $1,000 set of sheets,” said Jackson.

Calatozzo expects moving to Uptown will attract a more diverse clientele. “Already, we’re seeing a greater influx of retails customers.”

According to Jackson, people are loving it. “The space has a calmness and serenity to it. I think the greatest compliment is when they say they want to move in.”

The Peacock Alley flagship, located at 2711 Fairmount Street, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Keeping up appearances and prices instead of quality and selection. $1000 is best spent on Frette, Matouk or Sferra. Don’t venture away from their outlet!

I love my Peacock Alley and so glad they are now in Uptown! The quality of their sheets is unsurpassed, and I have tried all the other brands, nothing comes close to them. You will not find a more kind and helpful team in their store. So excited to experience this new beautiful store!! Congrats!

I have Peacock Alley towels that, 6 years later, look as good as the day I purchased them. I think the quality is off the charts.
