There’s News and Views at Lake Texoma

Share News:

Well, we just had a big ol’ announcement about Lake Texoma and now we have one more. The first is that all the parrotheads will be flocking to Margaritaville Lake Texoma when it officially opens its cheeseburger in paradise-y doors. (With the Hard Rock Café just across the lake on the Oklahoma side.) Which might prompt you to say, ‘Wait, what year is this?’ Followed by, ‘Will Sly Stallone be at the grand opening?’ And finally, ‘Save me a seat?’

Thousands of New Lake Lifers

Margaritaville will anchor a $6 billion master-planned community that will include “7,500 new homes, apartment, retail and dining options and an upscale marina.” (The first non-ocean Margaritaville opened in 2020 at Lake Conroe outside of Houston. But you know ours will be bigger, and like, way better. I AM KIDDING, HOUSTON.)

All of that to say, prices will no doubt be headed up in the months and years to come, so here’s your chance to own a premium – I mean PREMIUM – piece of Lake Texoma lakefront property.

The sellers are the original owners that had the home custom built in 1999. During construction, they rented a small house down the road so they could watch the progress. With the steel used during construction, it’s obvious the owner was creating a home that would last and last and then last a little more.

Worth The Wait

It took them four years to find the perfect lot on the lake. They wanted a little privacy, a little land, and the most gorgeous unobstructed views they could find. With a wall of windows looking out over the lake, I’d say they pretty much nailed it.

What Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s Int’l. Realty’s Terri Brak Thomas loves about her listing with co-agent Alex Lazcano is the way it’s off the beaten path, but everything is incredibly close. The Lighthouse Marina is three miles away and grocery stores, shops, and restaurants are only 15 minutes away. You feel like it’s just you and the lake out there, both living your best life, but in just a few minutes you can be at your favorite catfish spot. (I’m making a leap of faith that there’s a catfish restaurant out there. Call it a hunch.)

The beach in front of this home isn’t technically private, but it is a stretch of land that would be a bit of a challenge to get to unless you’re one of the very fortunate waterfront owners.

The oversized primary suite is like two bedrooms put together, the kitchen is spacious, and there is a lot to love about this one. But at the end of the day, I’m in it for the views. And those killer Instagram-worthy sunsets.

With a quick 90-minute drive from Dallas, this lakefront escape could become your primary home, secondary home, or rental moneymaker.

Thomas and Lazcano have 84 Daniel Lane in Pottsboro listed at $1.5 million.
