Have You Heard? This Renovated Wynnewood North Home Is Really Saying Something

Share News:

Once upon a time in the OC’s quietly magical neighborhood called Wynnewood North, there stood a house. And not just an ordinary house — a talking house. To most passersby though, 510 Monssen Drive whispered.

It whispered enchanting tales of comfortable charm and livable luxury. Lighthearted stories of openness but also privacy. Now the whispers were not spooky or alarming, but rather intriguing and … like a siren song almost. Local lore has it that one day — soon, we predict — the whispers will stop. And it will speak to someone.

A very lucky buyer most likely, since this home is For Sale! Capital F, capital S. (Though, local lore also says it prefers talking to people who are loan pre-approved.)

Maybe it’s you?! Yes, you who are coincidentally reading a real estate blog. But the only way to know for sure is to show up at the open house tomorrow between 2 and 4. p.m. Wear a Beltone if you must because you will not want to miss out on what it has to say.

Set on a quarter-acre, this three-bedroom, two-bath home “will speak to a lot of people,” says listing agent Sandra Bussey. “It is a dream come true for one discerning buyer who prefers a more lock-and-leave homeownership experience. And it’s been recently renovated with remarkable attention to detail along with an energy-efficiency that rivals newer builds.”

“I love the thoughtfulness that went into the design of the home,” says co-listing agent Ged Dipprey. ”For instance, the impressive fireplace in the living room. While it makes a bold statement, it also gently distinguishes the front formal living from the spacious kitchen. This gives off just the right balance of openness and privacy. You don’t ever feel confined in this home.”

Now usually, this is where we’d start to describe the home as you would experience it walking through. But in this case, we’re going to skip to the really good parts and let you look at the pretty pictures for the rest. One of its standout features is the attached 2-car EV-ready garage, “a rare find that aligns perfectly with the modern homeowner’s needs,” says Bussey. ”The convenience of having an electric vehicle charging station at home underscores my earlier point about thoughtfulness.”

We hear you loud and clear, 501!

Another “good part” is the island kitchen, where a gas range and quartz countertops create a stylish and functional space. The kitchen overlooks two living spaces, fostering a connected and inviting atmosphere for entertaining or family gatherings.

The primary bedroom is a retreat in itself, featuring an en-suite bath with a spacious walk-in shower and double vanity. Ample closet space throughout the home ensures that storage is never a concern.

For those who appreciate the outdoors, the covered patio overlooking a private backyard offers another retreat. Imagine relaxing here after a long day or hosting friends and family in this cozy and protected space.

If you’re a professional with remote options, a gym rat or an artist, then you’ll appreciate the versatile detached, climate-controlled studio that will be what you need it to be.

Location is key, and this property does not disappoint in that regard. Just minutes from the vibrant Bishop Arts District, Texas Theatre, and Tyler Station-DART Rail (1 mile), you will find easy access to the lively energy of the surrounding community, which by the way is an original post-war American suburb that still prides itself on neighborly spirit.

“If this neighborhood had a motto, I think it would be ‘Welcome to Wynnewood North where neighbors become best friends,” concludes Dipprey.

Are you listening now? If so, contact Sandra or Ged today, or better still, come by between 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday. Priced at $729,000, we’ve heard it won’t last long.

OMG, This is so exciting to see that something wonderful is happening around the Wynnewood area of Oak Cliff. When we lived in Kessler Park in Oak Cliff, we went to Wynnewood Village all the time. Our pediatrician was in the medical office building. Our parent’s banked, at the Wynnewood Bank. We went to the movies, in the Wynnewood Theater. My mother and I, shopped in Wynnewood Boutique’s, and a department store there for year’s and year’s. Unfortunately, we watched the area become an awful and dangerous place to go to. It was so sad. I never thought there would come a time, that it would turn around like this. This fill’s my heart with joy. I want to say, “Thank You”, to whomever started turning this neighborhood around. Our parents’ would be very excited and so happy, that this is happening in Wynnewood.❤️
