This Modern Home Is Steps From Small Town Living At Cedar Creek Lake

I love the respite that a good lake house provides. On a giddy Friday afternoon, you can grab your weekender, hop in the car, and say goodbye to work, neighbors, stress, noise, and cityyyyyy. I mean, Dallas I love you, but sometimes we need space.

Get some space in a place like Enchanted Oaks, its very own, very adorable little city on Cedar Creek Lake. There are about 400 people in the community, so if it feels like a small town, that’s just because it is. And it comes with all the incredibly fun small-town things you love like a community pool, Fourth of July Parade, and Bake Sale. Plus you just know they have a Pumpkin Patch and they even spell it “Punkin Patch.”

Now, let’s talk about this lake house. Rogers Healy and Associates’ Valerie Dillon said it’s a 2020 construction with incredible character and details. It’s not a traditional cookie-cutter new construction home.

Obviously, the current owners have stellar taste, but Dillon said this one was originally designed with all creative tilework and fixtures. Like it came that way. The current owner just added impeccable furnishings and the perfect natural woven shades.

Here’s one more huge get. The furnishings. Almost all of them convey with the house. Like it’s coming fully furnished and the taste is on point, son. Dillon said it could make a solid second home or AirBnb – it’s good to go. (And yes, there is an HOA in the community and yes, short-term rentals are approved.)

I can’t get over the style of this house though. It’s very modern inside and out and a little unexpected for the lake. I mean, you just don’t see a ton of moderns at the lake. And if you live in Dallas, you already know Cedar Creek is the place to be. And, in case you forgot, Karen Eubank very recently called it The Hamptons of Dallas.

If you’re out that way, stop by the open house on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 12 to 2 p.m. Dillon and co-listing agent Blake Towsley have 316 Enchanted Drive listed for $849,000.
