This is Frank’s house. Frank is an award-winning Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Frank is frankly fabulous. He lives in this beautiful Briarwood home with his owner, independent film producer Katherine Harper, and his little fur brother Carl.

Katherine, Frank, and Carl are packing up the bones, beds, and biscuits and heading to Preston Hollow for a new adventure as Katherine and her fiance Alex recently purchased the former Kips Bay showhouse. And yes, we will reveal what they do to that one because if it’s remotely like this Briarwood beauty, it will be a stunner, too.

The ceiling was treated to a Philip Jeffries gold leaf wall covering. That’s a Jonathan Adler Puzzle Brass Chandelier and the drapery is Schumacher Bermuda Blossoms with Samuel & Sons Rhodes Greek Key trim.

The good news for our readers is Frank’s house is for sale, and it’s pure gorgeousness. It also goes to show you CAN live in a beautiful home with furry family members.

Harper loves to cook, so her open-plan living and kitchen area is one of her favorites. “It’s inviting, welcoming, and everyone can hang out and be comfortable,” she said.

A Stylish And Comfortable Briarwood Abode

Harper wanted her home to be comfortable, conducive to entertaining, as well as concentrating on scripts, and most importantly, dog-friendly because, in her words, “Animals expand your world, broaden your universe, and bring joy to your life.” We could not agree more.

She turned to Clair Tompkins and Julie Lloyd, who, at the time, ran Tompkins Lloyd Interiors together.

“They are dear friends, and it was a dream scenario,” Harper said.

Phillip Jeffries cork wall covering frames the breakfast room.

The result, as you can see, is nothing short of fabulous, with lighting fixtures from Visual Comfort, Kelly Wearstler, and Jonathan Adler, exquisite Phillip Jeffries wall coverings, and Schumacher drapery. Even the mud room was wrapped in Relativity Textiles Escher Gold hand-screen printed wallpaper. Frank appreciated that touch as this is also his workout room, where he stays in shape for national competitions.

The upstairs den features a stunning Theodore Alexander textured white composite canopy chandelier with a bronze-finished steel bowl by Michael Berman. With its walnut countertop and built-in bookshelves, the desk area is the perfect place to read incoming scripts.

Harper’s primary suite, with a 14-foot high cathedral ceiling and walls wrapped in Benjamin Moore’s dramatic Hale Navy, is the perfect place to unwind from the day and snuggle up with Frank and Carl.

“This house has been fun,” Harper said. “I’m going to miss it, but I think whoever buys it will be very happy here.”

And we already know their fur family will love it!

Frank and Carl wish you all a happy Labor Day!

Allie Beth Allman’s Teffy Jacobs has this Briarwood beauty at 4508 W. Amherst listed for $2.095 million.

Harper’s latest project, Unknown Country, is on view at the Angelika Theater this week, so don’t miss it!
