The Updates on This Lake Granbury Home Are Thoughtful and Collaborative

Here’s a real cute recent remodel on Lake Granbury and it has a fantastic story, too. Briggs Freeman’s Megan Green said this home’s update is the work of a really cute couple named Hayden and Anna Lyon. Their business is Cowtown Home Buyers and their work is really spectacular. You can check out their before and after pics on their website or you can just settle in here and read up on this little charmer.

Green said she’s worked with the Lyons and what she loves about them is the collaboration they bring to every opportunity. Green said it’s not at all uncommon for the Lyons to call her and say, “What are you seeing in the marketplace? What’s more valuable in this home – An better half bathroom or a bigger pantry?”

They want to create the space that homebuyers are looking for. Their updates are on trend, but more than that, they’re thoughtful.

Green said that’s what they did with this one. It was a home that has only had maybe two owners in its entire history. It was a family home that was handed down until very recently. When the Lyons got started on the renovation, the first thing they did was enclose the front carport and create a second living area.

Now the home lives comfortably with two living areas, two dining areas, and two primary ensuites upstairs. There are two additional bedrooms downstairs. Green said it’s the perfect lake house for multigenerational families and it would also make a fantastic short-term rental.

The separation of adult bedrooms upstairs and kid or guest bedrooms downstairs is a nice setup. Green points out that one of the primary suites has a balcony that faces the lake. COME ON. Do you love this house or what??

This home has a lot of living space — 2,730 to be exact — for a very reasonable price and the remodel is more than complete. In the second living area, just outside the kitchen, you’ll find that the wood-burning stove is original, but pretty much everything else was taken to the studs.

The home has a lengthy back patio, perfect for waving at neighbors as they motor past you on the lake. Did I not mention? There’s a boat slip because this home is literally on Lake Granbury.

Green said Lake Granbury is such a short drive from Fort Worth that she assumed that’s where most of the potential buyers would be coming from. She’s been very surprised at the number of Dallas agents and buyers that have stopped by.

If you’d like to add yourself to that list of visitors, check out 4309 Davis Road in Granbury this weekend. There will be an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Green has this updated-to-the-extreme lake house listed for $685,000.
