Newer Construction in Westcliff Neighborhood

Of the many things that I love about Fort Worth, one of them has to be how new construction homes have been delicately folded into many of the great older neighborhoods across the city.

Not to say it’s always a copesetic relationship that’s for sure. We have all passed through older areas of charm and character only to find a giant box home that looks like a French Chalet combined with a California surfer dude’s style. They certainly don’t look like they belong there.

Fortunately, many of those who covet that cacophony of styles live a tad bit Northeast and East of Fort Worth … and they can stay there!

Where is Westcliff Anyway?

One such neighborhood where newer homes meld well with the older is the neighborhood of Westcliff. The area is just south of the TCU area and adjacent to the Tanglewood neighborhood. It is filled with beautiful trees, curvilinear streets, and has great proximity to many areas of interest.

In 2017, local Fort Worth builder Clarity Homes constructed a 3,336-square-foot home at 3643 Shelby Drive among older homes. Clarity Homes and their custom division, Bannister Homes, sought to build quality homes that will stand the test of time and fit seamlessly into the wonderful older neighborhoods of Fort Worth. That home is now available!

This room with an ensuite bathroom could be a fourth bedroom or a private study — your choice.

Distinguishing Features

The home features three or four bedrooms and four full baths. One room that is currently staged as a bedroom has French doors as well as an ensuite bathroom and would easily transition into a private study or reading room.

Filled with beautiful materials and choices, this home is move-in-ready. The primary bedroom is on the main level and quite spacious. Likewise, the bathroom has a good-sized closet, a deep soaking tub, and a separate shower.

Of course, there is a formal dining room, an open kitchen-living-breakfast area, and a large kitchen island for everyone to congregate. The kitchen has double stainless ovens, a six-burner gas cooktop, a huge walk-in pantry, and cabinets to the ceiling (always a favorite of Tarrant County Tuesday … no room for roosters!).

Upstairs are two bedrooms and an open game room or media room. One special feature of this home is the extended and covered patio to the backyard. The home site is deep and there is plenty of space for the new owner to build a pool, outdoor kitchen, or whatever they desire.

The oversized patio is already there, now the outdoor kitchen and pool come next???

We always enjoy highlighting newer construction in older neighborhoods here at Tarrant County Tuesday. We are fortunate as a city to have building companies that seem to “get it” and not destroy special areas of this great city.
