This University Terrace Midcentury Has a Garage Big Enough For Your Jacked-up Truck

Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty agent Bess Dickson has a listing in University Terrace that’s as charming as she is.

University Terrace is an often-overlooked little gem of a neighborhood in East Dallas. It’s tucked off Northwest Highway, in between Mockingbird and Abrams.

Dickson pointed out that this home is a true midcentury and the charm extends beyond the walls of the house. She said it’s a real borrow-a-cup-of-sugar-from-the-neighbor type of neighborhood, and it is.

University Terrace is Close to Everything

It’s also so wonderfully close to White Rock Lake that it’s not even funny. Several walking trails lead to the lake, and as Dickson pointed out, if you get thirsty on the way you can pop into Lake House restaurant.

Similarly, she said if you blow out your kayak, you can ride your bike over to REI to pick up a new one. Maybe it’s the lake that adds the calming vibes to this whole area or maybe it’s something different entirely, but whatever it is, there’s no place like this spot in all of Dallas.

Wonderful Home in The White Rock Lake Area

Okay, now we can talk about the home. It’s wonderful. Not a shock. The headline here is you have access to everything and it’s under $600,000. Dickson said most of the homes this close to White Rock Lake on the other side of the lake come with a much steeper price tag.

And this one comes with a very, very rare Texas-sized, two-car garage. Dickson said the detached two-car garage was recently constructed and it’s oversized. As in you can fit a big ol’ truck in there and comfortably fit an SUV right alongside. Even in new construction, you don’t often get a real deal two-car garage.

Even with the oversized garage and large entertaining deck, there’s still a ton of greenspace out back. You could add a pool or garden or just enjoy the perfectly level backyard as it is.

Inside the house, the kitchen has a new black stainless steel oven, a true pantry, and a solid amount of counter space. The bathrooms have been updated and there’s a generous formal living in the front and cozy family living in the back.

Dickson will be holding 7115 Clemson Drive open this Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. so as not to compete with the White Rock Marathon. It’s listed at $558,000.
